Her yard was overgrown and unsightly. But by the time they were through - it was absolutely beautiful.

Offering our services to others for free is a selfless act we seldom oversee.

Businesses who do this know it’s not easy to give away products or do services for others without expecting to be paid anything in return.

It’s a loss, yet these people don’t mind at all. Some even find these situations as the perfect opportunity to help out others.

Blake Hawthorn used his life experience to share his blessings with the people around him.

His journey started in 2008, and he did lawn care to earn money for his college tuition.

With his hard work and dedication to finish his studies while doing yard work, he capitalized on his skills and started his company.

it’s HIS turf focuses on lawn care, landscaping, hardscaping, and irrigation.

As a Christian, Blake wanted to give back to the community that helped him thrive.

He created a YouTube channel to highlight his experience in lawn care, reach out to others who might need his services, and do it for them for free.

Indeed, a blessing to the community. And when he couldn’t find a house to help, he prayed to find a property to transform.

Blake saw this home that looked neglected.

He learned that the family who owned it had no time to do their yard.

The wife was disabled, and her husband and child worked long hours weekly to provide for the family.

There was no one else to take care of their lawn – until Blake came to the rescue and offered to help.

Once he got the family’s approval, Blake and his friend Kevin started the work.

Kevin from Fall River Lawn Care was mowing the entire lawn, and his transformation story of this home was also on his YouTube channel.

Blake started trimming overgrown branches with the string trimmer and edgers.

You can see some weeds crawling out of their landscape bed and into the concrete pathway of the house.

In a few minutes, the path cleared up. However, there’s still a lot of work to do.

He continued by cutting off little twigs and branches in the landscape bed.

There were many of them, which was the bulk of Blake’s work.

It took quite a while to finish this, but the landscape looked far better and neater after he cut them off.

He also had to chop off trees because the branches were too dry for new leaves to sprout.

There were still a few bushes that he could salvage, so he gave it a good trim.

Blake got his hedge trimmer to give the bushes a pleasing rounded shape and refreshing green look again.

He took the blower to clear up trash and debris and raked them out of the yard.

You can see a big difference all that trimming made!

Lastly, he and his crew returned to nourish the landscape bed.

They added a layer of landscape fabric or membrane cover to keep out the weeds.

Finally, they spread fresh mulch so the plants in the bed would thrive and grow.

It’s impressive how Blake’s simple kindness to his neighbor resulted in this neat yard.

According to the video title, the woman was shocked by what she saw at the end (surely overly grateful too).

Watch this incredible transformation for yourself in the video below. It turns out beautiful!
