Imagine it’s your wedding day and you want for your first dance as a husband and wife to be something so unique and meaningful that it will stay forever carved in your guests and your memories. What a better choice than giving the performance of your life, re-enacting a dance scene from your favorite film!
Now, imagine this dance scene is so famous that all of your guests are familiar with it and they are already beaming with excitement and anticipation. Wouldn’t you have accomplished what you wanted?
Meet the beautiful newlyweds, Ada and Mateusz, the Polish couple who stunned their wedding guests with their amazing dancing skills, when two years ago they chose the iconic dance finale from the film, Dirty Dancing, for their first dance.
Dirty Dancing is an American romantic dance film released in 1987 and it’s considered a classic. The story is about a young girl (Jeniffer Grey) visiting a summer resort along with her family where she meets a male dance instructor (Patrick Swayze). They start having dance classes together after she becomes intrigued by him and the rest of the dance crew.
You can guess how the storyline evolves, they fall in love and they declare their emotions through a very passionate and intense dance scene, in front of the rest of the resort’s guests, including her parents.
Who doesn’t remember this memorable line that went down in the “film history”, “Nobody puts Baby in the corner?”, just before Patrick Swayze whisks off the character of Baby (Jennifer Grey) to the central stage where they dazzle everyone with their performance.
Similarly with the film, the newlyweds surprise their guests when the music starts and they dive right in their dance routine.
You can see how perfect they are together. Their love and happiness portrayed on their smiling faces.
They even nail the epic “lift” from the original dance routine, it is obvious that they had long prepared for that moment. The bride runs towards her groom and he beautifully catches her and lifts her in the air. The perfect dance finale for a couple deeply in love. What a beautiful thing to witness!
Their dance was recorded by a Polish wedding video-company, Beres Film and it was later uploaded on YouTube. Regardless to say that the video went viral with more than 11 million views.
Many rushed to congratulate the couple for their memorable performance, a man said, “I would honestly take dance classes to learn this. This is how I want my wedding to be. And I’m a guy so that says a lot”, while a woman noted, “I smiled through this entire video… what a man to dance like that with his wife… She is truly lucky. .. as much as I loved to dance, I never met a man that did. They just don’t seem to realize where it would take them”.
Our best wishes go to Ada and Mateusz, their wedding performance was undoubtedly amazing! Hopefully, this lovely couple will have many more opportunities to dance together in the future.
