In a career where you’re face to face with people, it’s usually important to look your best to feel your best.
Diana is a lawyer from Sioux Falls, South Dakota, who was in need of a little “updating.” In fact, she had kept the same long hairstyle for decades. But it was finally time to say goodbye to it, and hello to a more polished appearance to match her career in the legal field.
Some people embrace change throughout their lives. Whether it be trying out new hair colors, places to vacation, or keeping up with the latest trends – they’re not afraid to move onto the next.
Then there’s another group of us who aren’t quite as adventurous. Diana was a little more in that category (at least when it came to her hair). She hadn’t changed her hair’s length much since high school, which was 40 years ago!
Have you ever reached that point when you know, “it’s just time?” For Diana, she was finally ready for the scissors – hoping to get a style that was a little more “classic.”

Christoper Hopkins is the real man behind “The Makeover Guy” – and besides being a celebrity stylist, author, and singer – he’s known for the incredible makeovers he posts on his YouTube channel.
Diana was very fortunate to be in Christopher’s salon chair. Now the real fun was about to begin!
The South Dakota lawyer had walked into Appearance Studios with long blonde hair that was naturally curly. She undoubtedly had gorgeous features from the beginning, but Christopher decided to take them to another level.
In the video description, he wrote:
“Diana has had long hair for nearly 40 years. She was looking for a classic, polished look that was appropriate for a lawyer of her standing. Though she has fabulous naturally curly hair, it did not suit her. We worked together to combine her curl with some tailored polish.”
When Diana’s new appearance is revealed, it kinda makes you want to shout “wow!” Christopher truly worked his magic giving her a look that’s stunning, sophisticated, and kicked up a notch for her career as a lawyer.
Diana too was excited about what she was seeing in the mirror. She told the cameraman:
“I feel polished, I feel like my expectations were exceeded.”
Not only did Christopher make Diane look fabulous with fresh hair and makeup, he provided her with some take-home tips as well. She explained:
“He was determined to show me how to play with my natural curl, and he taught me some new styles and some new things I can do.”
Fans of The Makeover Guy love watching his videos. They’re a breath of fresh air in this world of ours – and Diana’s segment doesn’t disappoint.
One viewer expressed compliments to Mr. Hopkins:
