There are always times when re-watching our favorite movies when we start to notice things that we haven’t seen before. Inaccuracies, accuracies, intricate details, easter eggs, and many more. There are tons to see in a single movie that you can’t just do in one sitting.

1. Did they just forget each other?
In Monster Inc, Mike remarked on Sully being jealous of his good looks in 4th grade. The weird thing is, they only just met at their prequel, Monster University.
In Jason’s backstory in the horror movie Friday the 13th, he supposedly drowned as an 11-year old. However, he was cast as a buff adult in the movie.
No one would have survived in the middle of the desert without any kind of resources. If someone did, their bodies would be thin and weak after getting back. However, Batman somehow got back from Gotham as nothing happened even despite the place under some strict rule.
In this Godzilla film, you can see a terrarium with the name Mothra on it. This is hinting about one of the monsters of the Godzilla universe, a large moth goddess portrayed as a heroic monster that protects Japan. There’s even a 1992 movie featuring Mothra and Godzilla’s battle.
You may have not noticed or just paid no attention to this detail before. But during Despicable Me’s rocket launch scene, they were already hinting at the next thing that’s featured in their next movie.
6. That’s why this toy looks familiar
If you have been a Pixar fan for a long time, you may be familiar with this toy shown on Toy Story 4. This toy was actually from one of Pixar’s earlier animation projects, Tin Toy.
Pixar really did their research upon various subjects. When the toy soldiers attacked Woody, they yelled, “Frag him!” which in military terms was to ‘accidentally’ kill a superior out of his/her incompetence.
8. They didn’t even smell him
A rotting corpse would sure smell, thus easily detectable. However, Weekend at Bernie’s managed to hide that fact over the entire weekend without anyone becoming suspicious of them.
You may be wondering why in Disney’s animated film Tarzan, the main character Tarzan, didn’t even grow an inch of beard despite living in the jungle for years. Did the gorillas teach him how to shave?
In the recent animated Spiderman Film, a police car showed up with the plate number RFD-960. This plate number is actually from cars some movies used to rent as props. The same plate even showed up at the TV show Law & Order.
11. It got creepy for a second
In case you haven’t noticed, you could actually see the Anabelle Doll for instance as policemen entered an antique store. Noticing it on a funny, superhero movie kinda killed the vibe for a second there.
12. Aquaman’s Iconic line
In the 2018 DCEU film, Aquaman, Jason Momoa said the peculiar line “Ona Takai” before he stabbed his enemy to death. He was actually encouraged by the director to use his Polynesian heritage to add to his character, thus him saying the Maori line which means “You deserve it.”
As usual, Pixar and Walt Disney don’t laze on details. In The Incredibles 2, Dash’s math textbook was a replica from a mathematics module that could be found on the math website, helpingwithmath.com.
14. Who would have known?
If you have watched the 2015 movie, American Hustle, then you may have paid attention to this scene where Mayor Carmin Polito played by Jeremy Renner was kissing a baby. The baby was actually Renner’s own daughter who was just a month old at the time.
Pixar is great at leaving easter eggs and references on their movies. For example, in the scene in Monster Inc. where an octopus was preparing sushi, they actually hinted at their movie Nemo which was released two years later.
16. Commemorating the first King Kong movie
There is an elevator scene in the new Godzilla vs King Kong movie, wherein the floor where the underground floor was located was on the 33rd floor. This could be about the year when the first King Kong movie was released.
17. They’re not using random codes
The first thing that people think when seeing codes or numbers is that they only made that up randomly. Although, Lex Luthor’s prisoner number, AC192340, in the movie Batman vs Superman was actually pointing out a reference to Action Comics #23 which was published in 1940.
Molly Brown in Titanic shared a peculiar story during the dinner party scene in the movie. It turns out that her story was from an iconic scene in the 1964 film The Unsinkable Molly Brown.
If you watched both movies, you may have noticed these Harrelson and Eisenberg’s interactions are similar to the Zombieland movie that they both starred in. It’s funny how they slipped these references in Now You See Me.
There’s a scene in the Rocky movie where Rocky was drinking a glass of milk while exchanging cheers with others at the bar. It’s just that Rocky’s actor Tommy Gunn was still 20 at that time, and wasn’t allowed to drink alcohol just yet.
21. The other use of body doubles
In La La Land, in the scene where Mia and Sebastian were walking past people filming a romantic scene, two actors in that scene were actually both of their body doubles. It seems they found another way to show them on the scene.
In the movie, Murder on the Orient Express, there was a shot in which all key suspects were lined up on one long table. That was the reference to the Last Supper, only there was not one traitor, but all of them.

It’s quite weird to name an ant “Flick” when you could actually kill an ant with a single flick. Perhaps it’s just a coincidence or…
24. Thanos also has his own plot armor
There are plenty of ways to easily kill Thanos, but people don’t want to watch a 15-minute movie, am I right? Maybe that’s why they never considered this idea even though it’s quite possible.
During the opening credits of the movie Deadpool, there was one instance where the actor Ryan Reynolds was on the front page of a magazine dubbed as “The Sexiest Man Alive.” However, that wasn’t a made-up prop, it was actually a real issued magazine.
26. Fasting for a big feast
Spiders are known to fast before getting ready for their next meal. In the movie Coraline, they already showed hints of Other Mother being a spider even in the earlier parts of the movie.
27. Director’s favorite movie
It’s almost unnoticeable but after watching the movie a couple of times you might have noticed
the number “237” shown several times in Toy Story 3. This was a reference to Room 237 of The Shining, Toy Story’s director’s favorite movie.
28. It might be a way to make him stronger
Gandalf could have just sent his Eagles to help Frodo travel to Mordor in Lord of the Rings. Frodo had to struggle traveling on foot with plenty of trials to face just to reach his destination.
It’s great to leave something for yourself on your own work. The painted portraits shown at Bilbo Baggin’s home in both Lord of the Rings (2001) and the Hobbit (2012) trilogies, were actually based on Director Peter Jackson and his wife.
Watching Tom Cruise pull off the rope scene during the vault scene in Mission: Impossible looked quite perfect. Before that legendary take, Cruise kept hitting his head while attempting this act, not until he put English pound coins in his shoes that helped him gain balance.
Even in the end credits, some directors want to leave some references. Like in the ending credits on Kick-Ass, they put a reference to the Spice Girls’ identity on the acting goons, Spicy, Scary, Baby, Ginger, and Posh.
Wade Wilson in Deadpool 2 was wearing a shirt with the cats named Olivia and Meredith. Those cats were actually singer-songwriter Taylor Swift’s cats and the studio had to ask her for permission to allow this.
In Alvin and the Chipmunks: Road Chip, though the scene was almost instant, you could briefly see the chipmunk trio’s photos on the terrorist wanted list. I wonder what happened at that time?
In the 1995 classic movie, Heat, the scene where Robert Deniro’s character was fatally shot during a cold night, you could see vapor escaping from the hole in his chest. It was an epic end scene in the movie.
35. I wonder where those accents came from
It is understandable that each role is given to different kinds of people, explaining the difference in accents. Although, it just doesn’t make sense to have any uniform accent among the villagers who all live on an isolated island in the movie Moana.
Marvel loves to leave a lot of easter eggs in their movies, and there is a particular scene where you can see tons of them. For example is when the guardians in Guardians of the Galaxy entered the Collector’s lair, showing a Chitauri, a race that invaded New York two years earlier in The Avengers.
In Doctor Strange, Benedict Cumberbatch encountered an interdimensional entity called Dormammu. The CGI used for Dormammu’s face was actually his, including the character’s deep voice. That means Cumberbatch was just trying to bargain with himself.
There’s an interesting easter egg that you can find while McQueen and Mater were strolling together. It briefly showed a pun on of their older movies in a title, “The Incredimobiles” placed on the Now Showing sign.
In case you haven’t noticed, Peter Parker’s suitcase from The Spiderman: Far From Home had the initials BFP. That indicates that the suitcase belonged to his Uncle Ben whose full name was Benjamin Franklin Parker.
In Disney movies, they have always followed the classic hero vs. villain plot. However, in some movies, some greater villains started it all, and whom we didn’t notice – the parents. Some examples wherein the parents are the actual villain are Frozen and Sleeping Beauty.
La La Land has emphasized greatly the musical genre of Jazz. In the jazz club scene, the person playing the piano at that time was the musician Randy Kerber. He even dubbed some of the main character’s piano playing.
At first glance, it’s just a photo of the city lights taken from the distance. Although as you look longer, the lights are patterned to look like a pentagram. This scene was from the 2005 movie Cursed.
The continuity details in the DC movie The Dark Night Rises are quite amazing. In the opening scene, Joker was seen stealing a shotgun from the bank teller. The same shotgun was shown even later in the movie while battling with Batman.
In the original Star Wars movie, lightsabers could cut someone’s body parts off with ease, even leaving the cut wound fully cauterized. It’s just that in the newer Star Wars, its effectiveness doesn’t seem to be the same anymore.
45. That’s why they always get chased
There’s some weird logic in the horror and suspense movie, A Quiet Place. The monsters could locate the people if they give off a sound and would immediately chase after it. However, if people just lived on cellars or underground structures, there would be no way for the monsters to even pinpoint them as every sound would just bounce everywhere.
While Peter Parker in the Amazing Spiderman was being bitten by a radioactive spider, you could see the spider logo etched on his skateboard. How they managed to slip this detail is quite amazing.
47. The Toy Story 2 incident
Pixar does remember the time they messed up badly by accidentally deleting Toy Story 2 from their databases in the past. It was someone who accidentally typed a Unix command, rm -r -f, which deleted all the data in 1997. This is their way of commemorating that time.
48. Polydichloric Euthimol
If you paid attention to the details, in Terminator 2, the name of the explosive chemical that they used to blow up the Cyberdyne building was the Polydichloric Euthimol. The name was taken from a psychosis-inducing drug from the 1981 Outland who was directed by Peter Hyams, Terminator’s director, James Cameron’s friend.
It was the movie The Conjuring that freaked a lot of people, especially because of their scariest, spine-tingling scenes. The movie even hinted at an even scarier horror character, Valak, which made its appearance years later.
50. This iconic banjo scene
If you ever watched the 1972 classic, Deliverance, the first thing you’ll probably remember is this epic dueling banjo scene. The kid couldn’t actually play the banjo in real life but to real accuracy to the scene, they had a musician play in both the kid’s arms.
In the movie Ratatouille, you may remember one rat that is way bigger than the others. The movie wasn’t just depicting the rat as nothing but a macho or strong character, but as a lab rat used for experiments. You can even see the tag he’s wearing on his ear.
52. They themselves requested it
It wasn’t the director’s decision to let the characters in the original Ghostbusters be bathed in an uneven volume of marshmallows. It was the actors themselves. Dan Aykroyd even requested for extra because he loved the cream.
In the 2016 movie Patriot’s Day, the real Danny Meng, who was the main feature of the movie showed up for a quick cameo of one of the movie’s scenes. The movie was a story about Meng being carjacked, escaped, and even helped the police track down the suspects.
54. Finally, a positive ending
At the end of Terminator 1, the characters were driving their jeep on an empty road, which probably means that their future is yet uncertain. However, in the more recent Terminator movie, it ended with the jeep driving on a crowded path. Hopefully, this means, peace is finally restored.
55. The hesitation was shown
Even a simple detail of the character’s hesitation is shown in the animated movie, Zootopia. As you can see on Nick’s employment application form at the bottom, you could see how he erased the tick mark on the ‘Yes’ box after the question.
56. She hits harder than you
In the 1999 classic, Life, Eddie Murphy tells Michael Taliferro during their fight scene the line, I know an old bitch named Della that hits harder than you.” This was a reference to one of the movies he starred Harlem Nights in 1989.
The movie Shrek was a mashup of different fairy tales. Thus, you can expect that a lot of the iconic characters have a clear connection to a specific tale. There is some evidence showing that the king was really the Frog Prince even before he was turned into one by the later villain because of their interior decorations.
Rodney Dangerfield who played Monty Capuletti in Easy Money, was shown watching the TV while flipping the channels. In a brief moment, you could hear a line from a commercial saying, “All we need is one pin, Rodney!” That was a reference to one of the famous commercials that he himself starred in.
In the 1998 classic, Saving Private Ryan, you can see a war veteran who is wearing a 101st Airborne Division pin badge on his jacket. That was actually the movie’s main character being foreshadowed on the intro. What’s amazing is they were able to cast someone who just looks like Matt Damon when he’s older.
60. In case he forgets his line
Even some actors can’t help but forget their lines. In this scene from Beverly Hills Cop, actor Stephen Elliott who played the Chief of Police was holding a piece of paper. It was not a prop, but a script that he sneaked in on the scene after rehearsal.
