Noone likes going to the dentist… children and adults alike. It can be painful and even when it’s not there are weird noises and sensations you have to deal with when someone is all up in your face.
While most adults are able to deal with this, there are lots of children who cannot.
Taking some of these kids to the dentist, even for just a check up, can be a seemingly impossible task. It seems like you’d need a bit of magic to get the job done.

That’s why patients of Dr. Eyal Simchi get a magic show along with their dental check-ups. Pediatric dentists have the unique job of being an entertainer on top of being a dentist.
They have to find unique ways to keep their tiny patients calm.
Simchi operates a dental practice in Elmwood, New Jersey called Riverfront Pediatric Dentistry and is know to distract his patients from the less fun parts of going to the dentist with some magic.

“Truly a great way to build trust with your patients,” Simchi said in a Facebook video caption of one of his magic tricks. “Little tricks can go a long way with a nervous or frightened child.”
Simchi leaves his patients completely dazzled by his magic tricks.
He can manipulate and create bursts of fire, pull coins out of your ear, and even creates fun balloons from medical gloves. According to The Jerusalem Post, he’s been known to pretend to let siblings operate dentistry tools too.

He goes above and beyond to make his patients feel comfortable.
He’ll even perform “stand-up” dentistry for patients who are scared of the chair.
“From a waiting room filled with activities and exciting aquatic-themed décor to his awesome magic tricks, Dr. Simchi has the unique ability to make each child look forward to going to the dentist,” his website reads.

Simchi’s patients always leave smiling and sometimes bewildered. A video of Simchi performing magic for one of his patients recently went viral.
His patient looks completely overjoyed and filled with wonder as he watches Simchi.
Simchi captivates the boy by creating fire in his hands and lets the boy blow it around. That video ended up getting more than 30 million views on Facebook.

“Thank you to everyone for the overwhelming reaction to our video,” he wrote on Facebook. “One of the few times having something viral is a good thing.”
In addition to magic, Simchi says it’s a little patience that goes a long way. You can see the video below.
