If thereโs one car accessory that has soared in popularity recently, itโs the dashcam. A dashcam โ short for dashboard camera โ allows drivers to record everything thatโs happening in front of them when theyโre on the road. Thatโs not particularly exciting, but it can certainly be of use in case thereโs an accident and to figure out who made a mistake.
The YouTube channel FailArmy is known to create compilations of videos that are often funny, exciting or just downright absolutely surprising and stunning. Their video aptly titled Ultimate Dash Cam Fails shows you why you should always drive carefully in traffic.
Even at the most unexpected moments, danger can come luring in from all directions. One of the first images, for example, is just a group of people standing a couple of feet away from a car โ but a dashcam from a parked car shows how lucky theyโve been when theyโve just slightly avoided a crash with an out-of-control car.
On the road, itโs pretty difficult to imagine that anything can truly happen โ ghost riders, wheels that suddenly fly right off the car or a traffic situation that goes from bad to much worse. Another piece of footage captured showed a driver on the speedway just cruising around when another vehicle came driving in from the right side hill.
Or how about a piece of the road that literally seems to explode right underneath where youโre driving? If this wasnโt captured by a dash cam, you probably wouldnโt believe it was real.
Luckily, not all of this captured footage contains accidents that mightโve caused severe injury, and it doesnโt always have to involve cars either. In one of the small clips, you can clearly see a motorcyclist struggling to slow down after which he somewhat gracefully falls to the ground.
One man is also seen noticing a white cat that runs right underneath a car, but then luckily succeeds in getting the little feline animal out of there before any accidents occur.
In this compilation video, some people were extremely, extremely lucky. Some of these accidents wouldโve had a much worse ending if not for the split-second reactions and instincts of the victims.
