With the current COVID crisis in full swing and quarantine measures still in place, people are finding creative ways to keep busy.
For one father and daughter, that means a hilarious dance-off.
At first glance, the fifty-something-year-old father looks rather unassuming.

Dressed in an all-black hoodie and Adidas track pants, you canโt help but wonder if heโs going to pull a muscle when the music starts up.
To his right, his young daughter (also rocking a hoodie) looks ready to dance as the music finally hits.
And when it does, something incredible happens.
Both the father and daughter bust out a perfectly synchronized dance routine to T. Painโs โApple Bottom Jeans.โ
They kick and pop and turn at the right time, every time.
It really is something to see.

But what makes this video even better is that it represents one of the few positive things that has come out of these scary and confusing timesโmore time to spend with your family.
Before the COVID outbreak, people were in a constant state of motion.
We were always on the move, whether it be for work, travel, or just simply because we forgot how to sit back and relax once in a while.

But you know, itโs not entirely our fault that we were running around so much.
Thatโs just how the world works today.
And itโs what our society expects from us.
According to a study done at Gettysburg College, โOne-third of your life is spent at work. The average person will spend 90,000 hours at work over a lifetime.โ
If youโre not working, then your wasting time, right?
Well, if the COVID crisis has taught us anything, itโs that time spent at home with family is just as important, if not more important, than work.
Just imagine how many positive family memories will come out of this whole thing once itโs over.

It may seem boring at times, but weโre going to look back fondly on all the extra time we had on our hands once weโre forced to run around again.
However, itโs up to you to make your time meaningful.
This father and daughter didnโt have to have a dance-off.
They couldโve just as easily sat on their phones and ignored each other.
According to RescueTime, an app that monitors phone use, people spend an average of 3 hours and 15 minutes on their phones every day.

Instead of wasting time on their phones, they decided to use this time together as a chance to bond with one another.
Weโve all heard our parents talk about how children grow up so fast.
And if you are a parent, then you know this to be all too true.
So use this time to your advantage.

Because the second it is over, the world will go right back to the way that it used to beโnothing but rushing from appointment to appointment, never slowing down except to shit and sleep.
This video does a great job of reminding us that even during these times of crisis, the love of your family still remains.
So play some games, make up a dance, and laugh with the ones that you love the most.

Because who knows, we may never have an opportunity like this again.
