Four-year-old Ava from Ohio is just like any other kid. She’s absolutely thrilled for her upcoming birthday, dreaming about the happy activities that she’s going to do with her friends and family. However, her excitement was shortlived because of the CoViD-19 pandemic outbreak.

Instead of celebrating with a bunch of loved ones, Ava is now required to self-isolate in their family home in order to practice social distancing. There will be no big celebration for her upcoming birthday, but a simple get together without guests and friends coming over.

This news saddened the little girl, but there was nothing she or her family can do. Safety and health always come first and if it meant canceling Ava’s birthday party then the family is willing to take the necessary steps to make sure that everyone is safe from the deadly virus.

Ian Oliver, a 44-year-old FedEx driver, and Ava’s father, thought of something that would cheer up his little girl despite having to cancel her party due to the CoViD-19 outbreak. His surprise absolutely floored the family and made little Ava jump out of so much joy.

On her birthday, a fleet of FedEx trucks paraded in front of the little youngster’s house and gave her a wonderful moment to remember on her special day. She was absolutely excited when she saw the trucks pass by their Ohio home!

She was jumping up and down, thrilled as one FedEx truck pass by after another and another and another! There was a total of 10 FedEx trucks that made a special parade for the very special birthday celebrant. Little Ava undoubtedly liked the gift her father gave her.

It might be a very simple gesture and not as grand as the celebration that the family could have made, but the happiness in Ava’s face as she witnessed a parade just for her totally made up for the difference. The FedEx truck parade definitely worked and it made Ava a really happy kid on her birthday.

“To a 4-year-old, they really know it’s their birthday — she was into it,” Ian Oliver told Good Morning America. “It made me feel bad, she’s such a good kid. I had to do something to make up for it.”

FedEx is considered an essential business, which is why Ian, a 10-year employee, is still going to work amid the lockdown imposed to stop the spread of CoViD-19. On the other hand, his wife, Ashley Sarago stays at home with Ava.

It is not easy to still be going places when you know that there is a deadly virus out there.

“A lot of our drivers are going out to do 150 to 200 stops per day,” Ian further shared. “It’s kind of scary we have to be out here as much as we are while a lot of people are at home.”

But, when he made his little girl happy with the parade he put together, all of the fear and stress he experienced faded away. Ava’s delighted reaction definitely made it all worth it.
