As the weather cools and the first flakes of snow begin to drop, it’s hard to resist reaching for your favourite Christmas album and cranking all the top yule-tide hits. We all know them off by heart, and could probably recite them word for word in our sleep.
But what is the ultimate Christmas song?

Jingle Bells!
One young father however, seems to think that the lyrics of Jingle Bells could be a little more on-point for the Christian meaning of Christmas. So he wrote and recorded his own version to sing to his baby daughter named Summer. It’s clear that he wants to bring her up with a traditional understanding of the holiday, and the result is one of the most wholesome videos on the internet.
Summer is rather vocal herself!
“Hey summer”
Dad says to his little girl in the opening of the video
“Hi!”
She responds!
“Do you wanna sing about Chirstmas?”
It’s obvious that at least one of them does! Summer responds this time with unintelligible mumbles. I guess she’s still got a few more words to learn!
One thing is for sure: Summer could be the most adorable baby ever to feature on a Christmas song re-write video!
Her mother swings Summer on her lap, and she cannot stop beaming! If that isn’t the world’s most precious smile, I don’t know what is. The change in lyrics of course makes them far more descriptive of the Christian story of Christmas, delving into all the details of the birth of Jesus.
Dad is multi-talented!
Not only does he sing, but he plays the keyboard, AND the guitar. Obviously he had to find a way to express his musical talent through creating videos like this. It also helps that Summer is more than happy to be part of the fun!
She really is happy to be part of the fun! One day she may grow up to sing Christmas songs just like her old man. Move over Mariah Carey, there may be a new queen of Christmas one day! She’s even got the Santa onesie!
Dad even tweaks the melody slightly for a refreshed twist in the well known song… See if you can spot it!

One thing this video has over other Christmas music videos is a blooper real. At one point, baby Summer gets maybe a little too excited…
