As you have probably experienced yourselves during the quarantine, there was nothing but time. Ample time to be exact to be spent with our family members. And, thatโs when things got creative and โchallengingโ for some!
I donโt how many of you are familiar with the video-sharing social platform called TikTok, but in the last two years has been extremely popular, especially for the challenges that the members usually do. The internet and YouTube are full of video compilations showing people participating in the ever-current challenge.
Our story is about the Blinding Lights challenge videos on TikTok featuring The Weekndโs hit tune. And, particularly one viral video, showing a dad and his two sons, making their own special choreography.
The McFarlands, as they are known for their awfully popular TikTok channel, are a family from Louisville, Kentucky, which is really active on the app, and their funny videos in which the whole family often participates are usually viewed by millions of people.
In the Blinding Lights challenge, we see the dad on his phone, watching and assessing the โcompetitionโ when his two adult sons try to persuade him to participate too.
The dad seems initially uncertain but the boys motivate him by saying, โDad, people NEED you!โ.
It doesnโt take too much time until dad makes his decision and they all exit the kitchen โcheerfullyโ. We see them racing down the stairs.
And then, through the garage, they go out to the driveway where they start their fast-paced, energetic routine.
We can see that they have probably spent a fair amount of time preparing for the choreography as they seem to be really synchronized and flawless, and they dance having a bright smile on their faces!
Stay tuned for the grand finale, when the boys lift their dad into the air! We can obviously see that they are having a blast. And, itโs quite understandable as in times like these, when we are really physically โrestrictedโ due to the strict COVID-19 measures, there is a need to make our lives as entertaining as possible!
The McFarlandsโ have definitely found a way to add some much-needed dose of happiness and positivity in their everyday routine through their funny videos. Their channel is full of hysterical videos, featuring different members of the family in various comical situations. But, undoubtedly the dad is the star of the team!
The Blinding Lights challenge on TikTok had a great response from the people and there were many other equally successful videos along with the McFarlandsโ. Another, popular participant of the challenge was tommy_bracco, who can be seen doing his own choreography along with his family members.
Watching all these challenge videos makes people want to dance and have fun themselves and itโs truly inspiring amidst all this current social and political turmoil. I hope that these videos will motivate you to participate too next time!
