Fathers are strange creatures… We cannot deny this. Whether they are making awkward dad jokes or they are just not understanding something fully, we always tend to question their sanity a little bit.
In addition to being strange, fathers can also be sweet. For example, they might say that they don’t want ay pets, but that is not necessarily the case. Sometimes they can have weak spots, eventually, cave, and give all of their love to a new animal.
This one father exhibits both of these traits. He is both strange and sweet. It all began with a wild fox.
Amy MacMillan (from East Kilbride, Scotland) is the daughter of the father, and she shared that he had “lost the plot” when Mr. MacMillan became so obsessed with their new fox, he began feeding it extravagant meals. Because that is what the fox deserves, according to dad… And the best part is that he expects everyone to follow along this luxurious meal plan.
Before the dad took off to go on vacation, he left an extensive meal plan and schedule for the family to follow while he was away. Needless to say, it was pretty extreme.
“He’s been feeding a random fox in the front garden for months and has actual pinned up written instructions on how av to feed it whilst he’s on holiday,” his daughter wrote on Twitter.
And honestly, after looking at the instructions, it seems like the fox eats better than some humans.
The fox eats dinner at 6 p.m. It seems like he gets a healthy portion of chicken, specifically 3 bigger pieces of chicken or 4 chicken drumsticks. Wow.
It goes until late in the day, too. At 10 p.m., the fox has supper. 4 dog stick chews and a handful of biscuits. Sounds pretty satisfying. Then he follows it up with instructions on how to open and lock the door because, of course, it is a whole process just for the fox.
Amy also gave him a fox key ring as a joke as part of his Christmas gift “in case he misses it while he’s away,” but of course, the sweet dad loved it and actually went on to use it.
We can only assume this is the happiest fox in the whole world. It has been getting two solid meals for a couple of months at this point. Chicken drumsticks, dog chews, biscuits… What more can a stray fox really ask for? He obviously keeps coming back for more.

Foxes are typically known for raiding trash cans, digging up flower beds and marking their territories… But we guess this fox is well-behaved! Turns out if you are being handed food on purpose, you won’t really need to dig through strangers’ trash cans for more.
People on Twitter even responded to the hilarious situation. One person wrote, “He sounds a lovely man, you should be very proud of him.”
