The fear of needles is very real. In fact, even some adults admit that getting vaccinated is one of their greatest fears.

Being a parent also means being tough especially when your child is having a fever or getting vaccinated.

Watching and being strong for your newborn going through those multiple shots can be quite heartbreaking.

In fact, any parent would know that the pain of seeing your little one go through this experience can be as twice as painful for us.

If we can only take the pain away – we would.

Antwon Lee just became a dad and together with his partner, Shamekia Harris, they went to the pediatrician. Aside from the routine checkup of little Debias King, there would also be 3 vaccinations scheduled that day.

He knew what his 2-month old son would go through; in fact, he wanted to make sure that he was there to make everything bearable.

While the nurse was preparing the vaccines, Antwon was talking to Debias King, he wanted his little boy to listen to him and be strong.

“Now, we’re gonna get the shots.

I want you to look at me now

I know you’ll gonna cry

‘But it’s okay to cry.”

Lee was emotional and he wanted his little champ to be strong and that it was okay to cry. Little Debias was so sweet as he was listening to his daddy.

“I felt kind of scared a little bit, I knew he was going to go through some pain,” Antwon Lee, 29, tells in his interview with PEOPLE. “I had to figure out a way to comfort him, and the day before, I talked to him and said if he needed to cry, go ahead and cry. That morning when we got there, and I let him know again it was okay to cry.”

When everything was ready, they were instructed to put little Debias King to the bed and the first vaccine was administered.

“Oh man, c’mon man, I feel you man!

Man no! Man no!”

You can clearly hear Antwon Lee’s heartbreak in his voice. This sweet father can’t bear to see his little boy cry in pain.

He then tenderly kissed his son. Then the second and third vaccines were given to him.

“I know, I know, they did you wrong!
They did you wrong, man!
Explain it to daddy!|
You hurt?
Daddy’s here now”

The infant seemed to understand this and he felt comforted. Suddenly, little Debias stopped crying when he was held by his loving father.

The video that was uploaded 2 years ago on their Facebook account instantly became viral! Today, it has more than 17M views and 208K shares!

“I want them to take care of their kids, because when you sign up for something, you have to stick with it, you gotta go. My son is here, I’m signed up for it, and I have a beautiful mom for my child, and I’m going to be with him to the day I die.”

The people loved how gentle, loving, and emotional this father was. Little Debias King is so lucky to have parents like these two.
