Itโs often incredible to compare our current pictures to those of the past and see how much weโve changed over time, or in other cases, just how much things have stayed the same. That is exactly what happened with Tori Roach. Upon Toriโs graduation from Huntsville High School in Texas this past year, she decided to recreate a photo that was taken back 18 years prior when she was still an infant.
She posted the two photos of her and her Dad on Twitter, one from when she was just a baby, and another more recent one of her as a high school graduate.
We have to say, the photos are both heartwarming and hilarious.

The orignal photo shows Toriโs dad, Dennis, proudly holding her up in the air.
Although, back then, the tables were completely turned. Toriโs dad was actually the one wearing the green graduation gown. He went to high school at the exact same place, obviously, many years prior.

In the most recent photo, Dennis can be seen once again holding Tori up in the air. However, this time, she is no longer the tiny baby that she once was so many years ago.
Dennis is older and wiser, and his daughter is now a full grown woman. He doesnโt let that stop him from lifting her proudly up into the air though. He looks like he has gotten a whole lot stronger over the years as well.
After the Twitter post went viral, PEOPLE decided to reach out to Tori to learn more about her story.
โIt was really cool because it was the same place that he graduated from!โ Roach said.
โFor me to be in the same place that he was 18 years before that, it was really cool.โ
She did mention that it was a little awkward laying out in her dadโs arms like that though.
Also, in case you were wondering, the dad is already taken.

Now that Tori has finished high school she plans to go on to college at Sam Houston State University.
She and her dad said they will definitely be recreating the photo a third time again once she graduates from Sam Houston in 2022.

It is so amazing that Dennis and Tori have such a great relationship.
Tori added that they really enjoyed recreating the photo because it was an opportunity for them to spend some more additional time together before she heads off on her next adventure.
โIt brought me and my dad closer in a way because we could share that moment, and I feel that not many other people get to experience that,โ Tori said.

As to whether any of Toriโs Tweets will ever go viral again, itโs anyoneโs guess.
However, it seems like the two definitely appreciated all of the attention the photos brought.
โI woke up and I had a ton of notifications โฆ People had started sharing and liking and commenting all over again,โ Roach told PEOPLE.
โMy dad was really proud. Weโre from a small town, so nothing like this really ever happens. And he was like, โThatโs so cool!โโ

It is a beautiful story and weโd like to take this opportunity to thank Tori for sharing.
We wish her the best of luck as she heads off to college.
