Grandmas are often beloved for their ability to teach the younger generations about life. Especially when it comes to eating and drinking, we can normally assume that our grandmas might have a bit more experience. They tend to know the really good recipes and best drinks.
That being said, new things to try are being invented all the time. You might love something that your grandmother has never heard of, for example: Fireball. But wouldnโt you love to get your beloved grandma to try the fiery liquor?
Thereโs a viral video that shows a group of grandmas all trying Fireball Whisky for the first time.
In a video from Obsev, four grandmothers take their very first shots and sips of Fireball whiskey. Itโs pretty hilarious to see their reactions, especially before they even taste it. As they check out the bottle and all admit that they donโt drink much anymore, seeing Fireball seems to remind them of their earlier partying days.
It makes a lot of sense that these ladies have never had Fireball.
Fireball was invented in 1984, so itโs safe to say that these grandmas have really never had it before! Its sugary contents and high alcohol level make it a drink that appeals to younger people, although it does show up in cocktails from time to time.
They didnโt quite know what to make of Fireballโs unique taste.
One of the grandmaโs summed up the flavor like this:
โIt kinda tastes like a medicine type thing. Like a cinnamon hot medicine going down.โ
After the initial shock, however, they all started to warm up to the drink.
The ladies ended up quite enjoying it.
After taking a taste of the Fireball Cinnamon Whisky, one of the ladiesโ faces lit up, and she exclaimed:
โI could get to like this!โ
The other women at the table agreed with her. It took some getting used to, but they agreed it was a tasty drink.
Eventually, having some Fireball loosened the ladies up.
After a few shots of Fireball, some of the grandmas were feeling good enough to crack jokes. A bunch of them were fascinated by Fireballโs tagline: โIgnite the night.โ One of the women even joked:
โโIgnite the nightโโฆI donโt even have a dateโฆwhat a waste.โ
The internet now loves all these grandmas.
Itโs fun to watch older women have fun and try something that normally seems reserved for millennials and other young people. The video is filled with comments either identifying with the grandmas or cheering them on. It seems like every viewer has their own favorite grandma from this video.
One person wrote:
โOkay, now I want to see the lady in the purple drink with the lady with the glasses who poured the huge shots.โ
Someone else commented:
โI absolutely love the lady who is really elegant in the black. But you know when the sun goes down sheโs a party animal! Would love to see more of her!!โ
The funniest part of these reactions is that despite how many people loved watching the grandmas drink, many people felt like they might not be able to keep up with the women!
Itโs fun to see these women enjoying themselves and having a blast trying something new.
You donโt typically see your grandparents trying many new things, and especially a drink like this. Itโs cute to see grandmas find something that could become a new favorite!
Additionally, since these ladies have probably tried a lot of things in their lives, itโs funny to see that Fireball gets their seal of approval. Imagine all the foods and drinks these women have had in their lifetimes, and yet they all still agree that Fireball Cinnamon Whisky is fun and delicious. In my eyes, that means that the liquor is now a certified classic.
