Cowboys can do more than throw rope and ride horses, ya know.
Way, way more. They’re actually quite cultured!
One crazy cowboy, in particular, is reinventing the line dance, one step at a time.
Meet Calvin.
You may know him by his full name, The Real Cowboy Calvin. He’s a popular country music artist out of Forsyth, Georgia.
When he’s not making tunes, he’s dancing!
He, like many others, is a big fan of line dances. He is a real cowboy, after all.
But Calvin, unlike most, is an innovator – a dance master.
“Wobble” by V.I.C. exits the dancehall’s speakers.
Everyone, especially Cowboy Calvin, gets ready to get down. It’s time to “Wobble.”
But what exactly is the “Wobble”?
Well, for the uninitiated, it’s a line dance craze based on V.I.C.’s song “Wobble.”
There are thousands of instructional videos online. It’s honestly not too complicated!
“Back it up”
Calvin does just that.
Calvin locks into a deep groove.
He commands the dance floor like few before him.
Line dances are associated with country and western music, but they’re not constrained to any one particular genre.
Even hip-hop songs have formed the basis of modern memorable line dances.
“I’m taking the game, the game’s mine.
Y’all witness a change, it’s my time.
Y’all new to the game, but y’all might
Wanna save ya whack raps daylight saving time”
That cowboy hat looks so smooth.
The madman in the hat with the fleet feet takes a step to the left, then a step to the right.
He’s magnetic. The entire room is taking cues from him. What grace and confidence!
I can’t tell if that’s Michael Jackson or Calvin at this point.
Either way, we’re witnessing a dance genius!
He throws his hands on his head and spreads his legs.
Is it getting hot in here?
Calvin’s cooking up some seriously saucy stuff on the dance floor.
Quite frankly, I’m floored by his “Wobble.”
Calvin proceeds to slide across the floor like a young MJ.
The woman to his right loves what she sees.
We can’t blame her.
We love it, too!
Calvin is an alpha dancer.
So, what’s his secret? Well, he certainly has confidence and charisma… and some amazing dance skills!
Everyone follows his lead. He’s a star out there! He just loves to dance.
“I’m gonna take my boots on the dance floor..I’m gonna dance till I can’t no more”
