Having the same birthday as your husband would seem like fate. But Jamie Frantz Burkett and Anthony Burkett have a next level destined to be together deal going on.
This is because they were also born in the same hospital together.
Their beautiful love story all started with a stroke of destinyโฆ and a swipe right. The couple met on the dating site Tinder in June 2015. They exchanged number and agreed to go on a date.
โWe started messaging within that app then got each otherโs numbers and then from there we agreed to meet up,โ Jaime told WDSU.
They realized that something more than attraction was bringing them together when Anthony sent Jaime a text that included his email.
Jaime noticed something familiar about the digits at the end of Anthonyโs emails, which was 11493.
โOn iMessage it will show up as an email sometimes, his email address was Burkett11493,โ Jaime said. โAnd I was like โThatโs my birthday!'โ
Jaime was quite taken aback by this.
โI was really curious to see if we had the same birthday, so I asked and he said: โThatโs my birthday too!โโ Jaime told Independent.
It seemed weird at first but not too weird. There are 19 million people who share birthdays with others.
But they eventually figured out that they had more in common than that.
They soon learned that they lived a short distance from each other. That spurred the question of what hospital they were born in.
โIt was really surreal. Weโre from towns that are about 20 miles apart, so I asked him what hospital he was born in and he said East Jefferson. I said, โNo way! Thatโs where I was born too,โโโ she recalled.
They later found out that they were born 17 hours apart in the same maternity ward on January 14, 1994.
Anthony was born at 11:35 a.m. and Jaime was born at 6 p.m.
So, itโs likely that they were in the same nursery together at the same time. Technically you could call it their first date! After they went on their first adult date, they learned that they were both left-handed and weight 8lbs. and 7 ounces at birth.
The couple grew closer as a result of these coincidences and were married at their local church.
โWeโre Christian and we really feel like there is an element of fate at work. I donโt believe it was just a coincidence,โ said Jaime.
And Anthony 100% agrees.
โIt does feel like fate. Everything kind of aligned, itโs really remarkable,โ he said.
Some people really are just meant to be together!
