For some people, abandoning their current way of living for a tiny home is the best move they could ever make.

Tiny homes allow you to enjoy living with lower expenses, with no mortgage to pay, and lead a simpler life at one with nature. They also allow for incredibly creative design, which makes them a great source of inspiration to other tiny home wannabe builders.

They’ve become so popular recently that entire tiny house YouTube channels are dedicated to showing them off.

Exploring Alternatives is one of these YouTube channels.

With nearly 1.5 million subscribers, this little slice of YouTube shares videos of tiny homes, van life, travel, and off-grid living in general.

Its tiny home tours are particularly interesting, showing us some of the most beautiful and inventive space-saving home designs in the world.

There are plenty of videos to keep a tiny home enthusiast entertained for hours, but one of the best from 2019 is a tour of a nature-inspired tiny home that will take your breath away.

They built their home in 7 months, then spent months afterward adding the details.

Already, it’s obvious from this room that nature played a big part in the design of this tiny home, and there are green touches all around the space. The lounge area itself looks out through a set of glass doors, which the couple preferred as a view over a “giant screen”.

There are two stairways leading up to the tiny home’s two separate king-sized loft rooms. Like any tiny homeowners, Braelyn and James use all the space they have, and the under-stair space is used as a wardrobe for clothes storage.

The kitchen is simple, but gives Braelyn and James everything they need.

The couple mostly eat raw food, so they only need a small cooktop for on the rare occasions that they decide to heat something up. There’s plenty of room for preparing meals, though, with a pull-out cutting board to provide even more space.

The white cobbled floor design of the tiny home is hand-painted by Braelyn, who based it off her favorite place in the world: Mykonos in Greece. With its white walls and stone features, the whole tiny home is loosely based on the island.

Next is the bathroom, with a simple composting toilet and a full-sized bath and shower.

Upstairs, one of the lofts is used for sleeping, while the other is a comfy hangout spot. They’re separated by a bridge, which is lined with mirrors and windows to make it feel bigger than it actually is.

Braelyn and James use the hangout space to read books, play the drums or watch a movie. They only really use the bedroom space for sleeping in their king-sized bed.

There are lots of exciting features of the tiny home, including a pull-out hammock in the main living area, and a beautiful log burner stove for the colder months.
