Now if you go to a bar, any bar, or any public place for that matter and loud music was playing, you wouldn’t care much if there were kids or teenagers dancing around. That’s a given especially if the song playing is from their time.
Pretty normal sight to see people with phones out recording moments too. So who would think that an elderly couple would stop and gather a crowd in a mall as a result of their dancing to Bruno Mars?
No, really. Elderly as in seniors, whom most assume can’t move around as much anymore and all that, yet just dancing their hearts out to “Uptown Funk“.
Well this couple made a few fans that day. This video from SteadyPop posted around four years ago has made over 2 million views with 17 thousand likes and the clip isn’t even a minute long!
Must be nice to grow old with someone who still wants to have fun.
The video starts with the two having a hop and spin to the popular tune and already there’s a huge crowd gathered around.
Grandpa had himself a moment too. The part where Bruno goes, “Don’t believe me? Just watch!” has the cool gentleman doing a solo quick step shuffle dance much to the crowd’s delight. Grandma, hit your hallelujah!
He can’t help but smile to himself. Grandpa has quick feet and really good footwork.
He must have been quite the showstopper in his day.
The camera pans right a bit and shows an even bigger crowd gathering and we’re betting that by the time the entire song and impromptu dance were finished, that crowd erupted into cheers and whistles. They’ve got their phones out!
Even the viewers are all praises like this one.

It’s a song that’s proven to be a hit that it has encompassed all ages and generations to this day.
And while Bruno did the vocals, it was actually with British record producer Mark Ronson that gave birth to this monster hit. Mixing funk, pop, soul, boogie, and disco, it has the feel of a 1980s funk with modern singing and rapping that is full of metaphors and charisma, arrogance and fun.
It’s got that free-spirited, rebellious feel to it that even the more elderly, like grandma and grandpa here, cannot resist dancing to. It’s perfect for a long drive, background music with some drinks, or late night karaoke!

How many of us can honestly say that we would be as cool and hip as these older folk? We wouldn’t even know if our knees or joints in general could take the dancing.
