Line dancing is an essential part of the country-western culture. It may have originated from American folk dancing but it was during the 80s and 90s when popular country music became the go-to audio backdrop for line dance choreography. (Source: Live About)

Now, country line dancing has become so popular that it inspired countless competitions worldwide.

Even popular dance challenges online are inspired by both country music and country line dancing, like the The Git Up challenge which is still taking over social media. Artists across different music genres continue to incorporate country into both their singing and dancing. Because of this, more people are realizing just how much fun and talent goes into producing tracks and videos as catchy as “The Git Up” and other country-infused songs.

It’s easy to dismiss country line dancing as simply learning the footwork and keeping in time with the music, but there’s really so much more to it than meets the eye.

In fact, it takes a lot of effort and creativity to come up with great line dancing steps, especially for a song as catchy as Blake Shelton’s version of the popular Kenny Loggins hit, “Footloose.” Country dancing group Lizard’s Angels are known for coming up with awesome line dance steps that go incredibly well with different country music hits.

Each dance video shared on YouTube always earns more than 20K views.

Most of the videos even have users commenting on the fantastic choreography, with some requesting the group to share easy-to-follow tutorials for those who want to learn the basics of country line dancing.

To further show just how awesome this group is, Lizard’s Angels once more showcased their talent at the 7th El Barn d’en Greg Country Line Dance Competition. They were definitely one of the most anticipated acts, judging from the way the audience erupted into loud cheers and applause as the dancers took their positions in front.

Clad in all-denim ensembles with white accents, Lizard’s Angels brought on the crowd-pleasing footwork in time with the beat.

They couldn’t have picked a more perfect track to step to. The upbeat dance favorite “Footloose”, done by a country music artist as iconic as Blake Shelton, certainly added fun and appeal to the dancing. And Lizard’s Angels knew it – they looked like they were enjoying every minute of the performance.
