If thereโs one internet challenge that never gets old, itโs gotta be the โLip Sync Challenge.โ Because of the craze, weโve gotten to see police officers across the country show off their lip-syncing skills โ not to mention, their creativity too!
Anyone whoโs a fan of cops, good music, and classic movies is gonna love the video below. It features the Sherman Police Department from the great state of Texas.
These are some cool cops.
Where other departments went the extra mile for their videos, these guys took a different route. The cops pulled a scene from a classic 80s film, changed the setting and the costumes, but still carried out the same lines and even the song used.

Tom Cruise plays Maverick in the movie. One popular scene is when he approaches a woman at the bar and starts singing, โYouโve Lost That Lovinโ Feelin.'โ Well, these police officers managed to put a fun spin on the scene!
Cops in a bar?
That wouldnโt work. Besides, itโs not allowed. But they ARE known for donuts, so a donut place would definitely work. In fact, the place is full of cops! Itโs like the entire department decided to drop by. Must be really good donuts!
Four cops seated at a table begin discussing what they should do for their lip sync challenge, putting out ideas here and there, but none of the suggestions seem right.
Thatโs when one of the officers sees a girl by the display counter.
He nudges his friend, pointing out the pretty girl who was minding her own business, as he goes,
โSheโs lost that loving feeling.โ
His friend doesnโt feel the same way.
โNo, she hasnโt.โ

What follows is an exact copy of the famous bar scene but this time, itโs two cops in a donut shop. He taps the lady, his friend blocks him, but they both dip before coming back up as he starts singing the lyrics of โYouโve Lost That Lovinโ Feelin.'โ
The woman looks genuinely stunned by the performance.
Whatโs a girl have to do to get a donut? But hey, this is a huge compliment! The other cops gather around just like in the movie, eventually singing along with the โMaverickโ of the group. Sheโs smiling, which means itโs working!
In the video description, it says:
โCanโt go wrong with Top Gun and donuts! And to answer some questions ahead of time: Those are not our singing voices; we are lip syncing. All officers in the video are off duty!โ
So, does he get invited to sit down?
Yes, he most certainly does! Hands raised in the air as a sign of his triumph, the donut cop successfully sits next to the pretty lady.
Sherman PD ends the challenge right there. A taller officer walks towards the camera, issuing a challenge to another department before his boys shout out in victory, delighted at their version of the famous scene.
Their entertaining video has put a smile on a lot of faces.
