They say talent grows better with time and Connie Talbot is one proof to that.

Twelve years ago, Connie first stepped on Britain’s Got Talent in hopes of changing her future and making a name for herself. Now, with her return to the popular talent search, she’s on her way to making them a reality.

Connie looked angelic in white.

Her performance easily earned her a standing ovation from the judges. The audience was on their feet as well.

Amanda Holden commented:

“I am blown away by that performance and just what a gorgeous young lady you have turned out to be. You are utterly stunning. I always think it’s a very brave thing to sing an original song but that song was on point. You have done yourself proud. I was so emotional during that.”

Simon’s comment, however, was on the cheery side. Remembering how Connie looked 12 years ago, his first words were:

“Connie, you have teeth.”

Then, he got a bit serious. He added:

“I will remember that first audition for the rest of my life… I don’t think we would be sitting here today if it wasn’t for you so we owe you a massive thank you. You have come back once again as a star.”

Watching Connie perform was like watching a fairytale.

Her story is just so inspiring.

She auditioned for Britain’s Got Talent just for fun. She was quite confident even though she had never taken any singing lesson. Despite that, however, her first performance made news internationally.

She was able to reach the final round of the show. During the night of the finals, she chose Over the Rainbow as her major piece. Even though she performed really well and was considered the favorite, she still lost the top spot to Paul Potts.

Despite not winning the series, Connie was still able to make a name for herself in the music industry. She was able to release a couple of video albums and singles. She also has her own YouTube channel which has over 1.6 million subscribers. There, she uploads music videos and song covers.

Her journey inspired tons of other talented kids to show the world what they can do, too. She motivated them to take chances and show everything they have when it comes to pursuing their dreams.

You see, even though she didn’t win that series, Connie continued to sing and pursued her passion for music.

She is set to compete with other champions to get the chance to be crowned as the ultimate top performer of the show.

Even though she’s competing with big and familiar names, Connie doesn’t seem to be nervous at all. Just like how she was 12 years ago, she’s just there to enjoy and have fun.
