A coincidence is defined as “a remarkable concurrence of events or circumstances without apparent causal connection”. These are the little things in life that make us stop and wonder how the universe has been so perfectly aligned; I am a really big fan. Denis Cherim, a photographer based out of London, also has a fascination with coincidence— a trait which has led to him discovering his passion: “capturing the essence of spontaneity and coincidence” by means of his remarkable photography.
“Whenever I travel across a city, a forest, a river, or a simple parking lot, I find that a common everyday moment can suddenly transform into a captivating situation. Combinations of geometry, textures, [and] reflections will all intertwine to create out of the ordinate, delightful centerpieces.”
These situations, which Cherim has captured and collected into a series of photos called “The Coincidence Project”, are a beautiful reminder of the daily beauty that often goes unnoticed as a result of our busy lives. But today, take a minute and soak them in; here are 30 collected just for you.
