For dog owners, the feeling they get after a long or stressful day at work from their dog welcoming them back home is truly one of a kind. It turns out that not only dogs excel at welcoming home their owners, as this cockatoo definitely shares that same type of excitement.
Onni the cockatoo was sitting close by to the window and suddenly spotted his owner and dad of the family walking on the front yard on his way home – and at that very moment, Onni absolutely loses it.
He immediately screeches and makes loud noises out of pure excitement and starts walking around uncontrollably. When his owner finally sets foot in his home again and closes the door, Onni reaches out to him as if he wanted to give him a big ‘welcome home’ hug.
The adorable cockatoo flies over his head and lands on hand – it’s not hard to see that these two share a very special bond.
Interestingly, Onni’s name is Finnish and has multiple meanings: ‘luck’ and ‘happiness’. We can imagine that these are the two exact feelings that owner and pet share for each other. Adorably funny!
