Itโs always difficult to get kids to eat leafy green vegetables. When you try to give a kid something healthy, all theyโll ask for is pizza or some sweets.
But it turns out, itโs not just kids who wonโt eat vegetables. Birds wonโt either!
The problem with that is we need to eat vegetables to get stay healthy and get the proper nutrients and vitamins.
No one actually needs to eat pizza. But sometimes getting enough vegetables in our system can be tedious.
Thatโs what a cockatoo, who goes by the name Eric the Legend, found when he tried to up his broccoli intake per doctorโs orders.
โThe vet has told us to increase the amount of broccoli in Ericโs diet so we decided to make a video to show the kiddies how nice broccoli really is,โ Ericโs mom wrote in the caption of the video on YouTube.
Eric The Legend is known for making YouTube videos that showcase his surly attitude and off-color vocabulary expressed in his Australian accent.
โEric is a Bare eye Cockatoo, commonly known in Australia as a Little Corella, he responds to excitement and has picked up a few swear words thanks to the boyโs watching the football,โ his YouTube channel explains.
Though he normally is a fan of broccoli, he wasnโt too fond of it when the doctor recommended he eat more of it. Apparently, he doesnโt like being told what to do.
โI want you to show all the kids how you eat your broccoli,โ Ericโs mom says to him in the video.
He showed them alright.
โCome here,โ Eric says as he drags his bowl of broccoli across the table before picking a piece out and throwing it on the floor.
He then tosses the entire bowl over the edge of the table. Itโs safe to say he was not in the mood for eating broccoli that day.
โEric!โ his mother scolds. โLook weโre going to try this again Eric.โ
He squawks angrily and tosses the second bowl away.
When the third bowl came around he placated his mom by picking a piece out and pulling it apart. But he didnโt eat any, he just threw it around.
Then he did away with the third bowl and tossed it over the edge of the tableโฆ. again.
Ericโs reaction to the broccoli is truly hilarious, especially since he usually likes it. It just goes to show no one likes being told what to do!
