The Christian Assembly Church in Eagle Rock, Southern California raised $50,000 to be able to help wipe out more than $5 million of medical debt with the help or the organization called RIP Medical Debt.
Struggling with debt and other financial problems can be too much and families all of the world are struggling with paying their debts. It’s not easy especially if you don’t have sufficient income.
RIP Medical Debt is an organization that empowers its kind-hearted donors to forgive billions in oppressive medical debts. It aims to aid America’s most vulnerable communities: from the elderly people to the sick, to our veterans. RIP Medical Debt is dedicated to eliminating the burden of medical debt for the people in need with the help of its donors.
They hope that by forgiving their debts, these families would be able to get a fresh start. That with the help of the donors, these families would be able to seek their needed medical care, and for them to get have a better life.
Tom Hughes, Christian Assembly Church’s co-pastor shares that his congregation was able to raise $50,000 over the course of the year 2019, but the twist? The church members were unaware of how it would be used until now.
This is how faith for the good works. These people knew that whatever they were able to give, will be put to good use. Truly, these are gifts from people’s heart from above.
The big reveal was to be announced on their Christmas day service. Everyone was so happy, everyone thankful that for Christmas, they were able to give the gift of freedom.
Because of their kind hearts and generosity, the members of the Christian Assembly Church has given 28 communities across LA.
Receivers of this gift will receive a letter, a part of the letter says:
“We are pleased to inform you that you no longer owe the balance on the debt referenced above to the above provider. RIP Medical Dept is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that acquires and then cancels unpaid and unpayable medical debt.”
It will definitely be a wonderful surprise because none of the chosen families will be aware of the blessing that will be given to them. A blessing from above that would be unexpected.
What a wonderful Christmas gift!
