When more than 100 male vocalists combined talents to sing “Danny Boy,” the results were enough to leave a tear in some people’s eyes.

It all took place at the Barbershop Harmony Society International Convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. While the Irish tune has been covered many times, Vocal Majority’s rendition is truly unique.

The sound of music is enough to lift a person’s soul. But with dozens of heavenly voices joined together it brings things to a new level.

No two men in Vocal Majority are exactly alike. As their website points out, they all come from different “walks of life” with varying talents and experience in the field of music. However, where the volunteers are similar has to do with their passion for singing.

When it comes to their performances, they say:

…be prepared for an extraordinary musical experience that has touched tens of thousands of listeners around the world. Our tagline says it best: we’re “pure harmony.”

Vocal Majority was created in 1971 by 12 men with a vision “to create a chapter that would become the finest singing group in the world.” Over the past decades, they have won many awards and captured even more hearts along the way.

Vocal Majority attended the convention, which was located in The AXIS at Planet Hollywood. Each member was dressed in a white suit and black and white striped tie.

When they opened their mouths to sing “Danny Boy” it was like listening to a choir of more than 100 angels. Together, their voices are chilling, especially joining for such a classic tune.

According to Irish Central:

“… ‘Danny Boy’ holds its position firmly – as one of the most popular and recognizable Irish songs of all time.”

Not only is their sound beautiful, but watching the men’s faces is too. Each one is full of absolute passion, emotion, and grace as they perform.

The Barbershop Harmony Society, which created the event, is a non-profit organization that believes in the benefits of “harmonizing.”

On their website, they shared that it can help build healthier communities, improve physical and emotional health, reduce barriers across diverse cultures and groups, and more.

They also believe in the inclusion of “everyone” when it comes to their beliefs. The Barbershop Harmony Society states:

“Our vision of Everyone in Harmony means EVERYONE – people of every age, of every background, every gender identity, every race, every sexual orientation, every political opinion or spiritual belief.”
