The Musicality Choir has put out several YouTube videos to date, but none of them hold a candle to their performance of “From Now On” from “The Greatest Showman.” And how do you create a masterful performance such as this you might ask? By bringing all your alumni together from the beginning of the group. That’s exactly what Musicality did.

Fifty of Musicality’s talented performers came together to sing this amazing a Capella. Some of the choir group was from as far back as ten years ago, and some are current choir members. They all had a part in making this the more than worthy rendition of the song. With over five million views I’m not the only thinking this.

From the moment they start to hum in perfect harmony they had my attention. Several times during the performance I had to remind myself that there is no musical instruments being played. Just all the members humming. I also enjoyed the trio at at the end very much as well. The entire song was pretty incredible really.

The choir group has made quite a few videos on YouTube if you like this one and not familiar with them.

Their next highest viewed video is the cover they did of “This is Me” from “The Greatest Showman.” This performance brought in a whopping three and three quarter million views on YouTube. I’m going to go ahead and say these inner city youth are something special! The girl that comes on at 0:45 brings the fire to the song. If you close your eyes and listen to her sing it feels like you are watching a Disney movie. She makes me imagine that there is a scene with something big about to happen. Maybe we’ll hear her singing in one someday.

I found the groups performance of “The Lion King” to be out of this world as well. At 3:57 of the video they start “Be Prepared.” This by far is my favorite song and performance from this video. The group portrays the darkness of the time in the movie perfectly. There has been a lot of thought and peroration in every aspect. How the setting the kids are singing in is cold and much darker of a space, the outfits and make up they are wearing, the removal of all art from the walls, all intentional to create mood and feeling that coordinates to the scenes of the film. Loving it!

The groups rendition of “The Sounds of Silence” originally performed by “Simon & Garfunkel is my favorite by a long shot. If you are anything like me you may want to grab a tissue or two as this is a real tear jerker! I must have re-watched it five times in a row and can watch it five more times in a row. It is really that good. I am incredibly impressed with this choir and will be following them from hear on out.
