Hard to believe that a young woman that endured the emotional abuse that Kylie B did would become the strong young, vibrant and intelligent woman that she is today.
Having a Narcissist For A Mom
Anyone that knows a narcissist will not be able to fathom being the child of one.
Kylie’s Younger Years

During her childhood, Kylie adored her mother
She would do anything possible to make her mother proud of her. But all her efforts were futile. Her Mother could only relate to the things that she did for Kylie.
Her Environment
Kylie existed in an environment of emotional abuse where she would be continuously put down with constant negative remarks being made by her Mother. Or the opposite would take place, and Mom would give her the silent treatment. Kylie lived in a world of mind games and manipulation.
An Example

Kylie entered a school coloring contest, and her Mother belittled her finished piece ending with a comment that she didn’t know why Kylie even bothered because she was never going to win.
Kylie Proved Her Wrong
Kylie did win the contest and was excited about her achievement, but not that she had proven her Mother wrong. Thinking her mother would be proud was a mistake on Kylie’s part. Her Mother’s response to the win was that “They probably just felt sorry for you.”
This was just one example of perhaps thousands that Kylie experience during her childhood.
The Damage

The Mother’s narcissism had a negative impact on Kylie as a child
As a result of the emotional abuse Kylie found herself to be weak and nervous and completely lacking self-confidence. Her Mother’s attitude was defining who Kylie was.
No Escape
As a young adult, Kylie recognized her Mother for what she was. But Kylie had siblings that she felt responsible for. So she couldn’t break away from the home environment.
Time For A Change

Kylie made a huge decision that affected her life
She came to the conclusion that she had to distance herself from her mother, and that is exactly what she did when her brother had reached the age of six, and Kylie was 26. However, it was her mother who gave her the opportunity by telling her it was time to leave home.
Her Mother’s Parting Words

No words at all would have been better than the last words that Kylie’s mother spoke to her which were “I should have aborted you when I had the chance”.
The Transformation

Most would think those horrid words spoken would be the catalyst that would ruin the rest of Kylie’s life.
The words had a completely opposite effect. Kylie felt free for the first time in her life and like a heavy burden had been lifted from her shoulders.
The Mixed Emotions
Kylie did feel some sadness after leaving.
Not because of the loss of her mother but the loss of the contact with her siblings. At the same time, she was enjoying happiness from her sense of freedom.
Five Years Later

Instead of being the shy introverted youngster Kylie had transitioned into a strong, vibrant young woman that took a bad time in her life and transformed it into something positive. Kylies recognizes her strength and gives thanks to her mother for this.
Its Called Strength
The person that Kylie has become today she attributes to strength. Strength that her Mother instilled in her, so she was able to endure what a child of a narcissistic mother is subjected to.
