“Chicken Daddies” is a calendar featuring sensual shots of dad bods, short shorts, and poultry

You might hear that men with chiseled abs and five o’clock shadows are what the people want. But that’s not really true. And even if it were, it’s asking a bit too much from men who aren’t blessed with good genes.

But you know what common body shape has picked up a following? The dad bod. Apparently, people have a soft spot for the soft body type. Beard and belly and all.

We’ve heard of pinups and thirst traps. It’s just a fact that looks sell. This calendar series from Danielle Brock puts a pretty unconventional spin on the old pinup calendar.

Danielle Brock presents “Chicken Daddies,” a project she started over the pandemic after she was laid off from her job.

The product is a calendar of, I guess you could say, “soft-bodied” men in daisy dukes posing with chickens. Reporter Kohr Harlan interviewed Danielle about the whole thing, and let’s just say he learned a lot about the modeling process too.

Chicken Daddies was birthed from a silly photoshoot Danielle did with her boyfriend.

Originally, they were parodying the “Target dress challenge”. Danielle did not like the look of the dresses in the challenge one bit, even using the word “hideous”.

One parody shoot with her boyfriend later, and this idea was born.

Now she’s got a full calendar to sell of dad-bodied men in daisy dukes, with chickens next to them.

The shoots aren’t just limited to daisy dukes. The models sport sundresses and tall boots too. Most importantly, they’ve got the confidence to match.

Well, you should be able to work with chickens for one.

And own the look you’re modeling too. “Everybody’s beautiful”, Danielle emphasizes. Her little reminder is a pretty important one, despite how casually she says it.

Beauty standards aren’t the end all be all.

What might be one person’s type just might not do it for someone else.

Now one other question we’re all asking: where did she find all these models?

It was easy, really. Danielle just asked around on Facebook and got the responses she was looking for.

Most of the male population already rocks the dad-bod, so it’s not like she had to look very far.

Oh, and she takes applications on her website.

So if any man in Gresham, Oregon is curious, now’s your chance.

Kohr himself got to be a Chicken Daddy, and he definitely sold the look. He’s as happy as can be and got to be the face of May for the calendar.

In fact, all the models have the happiest look on their faces.

It’s not every day a man gets to rock daisy dukes and feel beautiful with a chicken. So, do any more men want take a shot at it?
