If there’s one thing that can ruin a nice day very quickly, it’s an ant problem.
No matter where you live or how high your apartment building is, there will be ants.
In fact, they are one of the most common insects in the world.
Did you know that there are more than 1,200 species of ants?
With so many of them, it’s easy to just see them everywhere, especially in warm places.
No wonder they love building colonies in our yards. It’s one of the most common problems that most of us have.
So, how do you handle your ant issues?
While some of us would opt for chemical ant killers – others prefer looking for effective, simple, cheap, and safe methods of getting rid of ants.
Get ready for a great solution.
Dominic of 3BricksHigher, posted a video of how you can get rid of those nasty ants in your yard with the help of Mother Nature.
“It’s extremely effective and it’s so safe a child could do it without getting bitten,” said Dominic.
Such a statement would definitely intrigue anyone, right?
Dominic pointed out that the ants chose that specific part of the yard because it was the perfect place for them to grow.
Now, he aims to disturb the ant bed to kill all the larvae inside.
According to him, the larvae can only live between 75 degrees to 96 degrees Fahrenheit.
Knowing this, he aims to disturb this perfect sanctuary to permanently get rid of them.
Are you excited to find out what you’ll be using?
You only need a black plastic bag and a couple of bricks to weigh it down.
First, it’s best if you just cut your yard’s grass. Then, locate the ant bed and get your trash bag.
Cut it to ensure that it will cover the whole ant bed, and from there, just cover the whole bed and put the bricks on, so every corner is pinned down.
According to Dominic, after this project, no ants returned to that spot or even near it.
The concept of his solution is to create an oven until the ants can no longer take the heat, and the larvae also die in the process.
Check the temperature and see how high it could get.
It was 84 degrees outside Dominic’s yard but inside his ant bed oven, it went up to 108 degrees in just two and a half hours.
In just around 3 days, he removed the trash bag, and it worked!
There were no traces of ants!
People were so happy with Dominic’s easy, safe, and effective solution. True to his words, even a child could do it.
So instead of using chemicals to get rid of ants in your yard – why not try this effective solution that requires just a little help from Mother Nature?
