Charlie Womble and Jackie McGee are two household names in the world of dance. Together, they have been dancing, competing, and teaching since 1981.

They were once undefeated for twelve years straight while competing in 300 competitions.

These two are so good, the National Shag Dance championship trophy was called the Charlie and Jackie in their honor.

You’ll have to see them dance to believe it. Charlie and Jackie aren’t exactly youngsters and yet these two would put so many kids to shame on that dance floor.

They are very dedicated to preserving and promoting all the dances of the jazz era.

Can you imagine having these two as your grandparents?

That would be so cool. They just exude class without looking stiff and boring. They are so smooth. Those feet are on automatic which are the results of over two decades of experience.

The song is so cool. These two are doing it justice. It’s one of those lazy day with your lover songs where nothing else matters but your time together. So why not dance? The lyrics seem to tell a story.

To drive their point that they are still the best out there, Charlie and Jackie do a little quick shuffle with their feet drawing reactions from the onlookers. All in a day’s work.

Even the online viewers can’t get enough.

“Love to watch the easy rhythm and style of this marvelous couple! So easy to watch. Thanks for posting!”

In a world of modern pop and disco dancing and all that jumping in clubs, it really is pretty cool to see these dances for a change. And it’s not liquor or alcohol that makes you dance. This takes years of practice and skill. So why not study with Womble and McGee?

But Charlie isn’t done. He’s just getting warm. He steps across and spins about four times and does a little gentlemanly pose to the cheering of the crowd.

Well Jackie won’t be left behind by her man. No sir. she does her own spins with the grace only a classy woman like her can pull off. Well… Charlie won’t have any nonsense.

He splits! He does an actual split!

Even Jackie had to smile along to the crowd’s reaction. A man at his age doing splits? !

“I feel the roll of thunder in my bones
I hold my head up high everywhere that I go
And the gift of life I truly understand
And I can be myself again”

He’s not content though. Knowing the dance is about to end, Mr. Womble goes ahead and does another split. This guy. Alright you two, we get it. You really are the legends of Swing.
