Look at this Chandelier improvised performance of a boy with a beautiful voice

Singing in the shower’s fun. But you generally don’t want your roommates hearing your questionable voice…

Alright, I’m projecting.

People act differently when nobody’s around. It’s just a fact.

I mean, just today I walked around the kitchen with my pants off because nobody else was home.

The absence of others can be especially liberating to the shyest of souls.

Take this young man, for instance. He’s all alone in what appears to be a dance studio or gym – or so he thought.

No, not alone at all.

In fact, everything he’s doing at the moment is being recorded, for better or worse.

But fortunately in this case, it’s very much for the better.

You see, this kid’s got incredible talent. He’s a truly gifted vocalist.

But he’s also really, really shy.

Australian pop star Sia’s hit song “Chandelier” can be heard in the background of the studio.

Though Sia’s not the only one singing. The boy pipes along to the international hit, layering his vocals atop hers.

And he’s simply sensational.

1 2 3, 1 2 3, drink
1 2 3, 1 2 3, drink
1 2 3, 1 2 3, drink
Throw ’em back till I lose count

Perhaps the most iconic aspect of Sia’s song comes with the chorus, featuring bombastic, operatic vocals. The average singalong Joe and Jane surely can’t hit those highs.

Well… this guy’s up for the challenge.

And he absolutely annihilates it (in a good way).

I’m gonna swing from the chandelier
From the chandelier
I’m gonna live like tomorrow doesn’t exist
Like it doesn’t exist

He feels his way through the chorus, one operatic note at a time.

It’s hard to forget that he’s just a regular dude in the gym.

But there’s nothing regular about his voice.

He proceeds to finish off the soaring chorus, hitting every single pitch perfectly.

I’m gonna fly like a bird through the night
Feel my tears as they dry
I’m gonna swing from the chandelier
From the chandelier

For the unfamiliar, Sia’s a popular Australian singer and composer. She’s collaborated with a slew of iconic artists including Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Eminem.

Here’s the beautiful, original music video to her hit “Chandelier.”

Upon the completion of the chorus, the young man turns around, twirling as if ready to dance.

Within a split second, he notices the cameraperson, perhaps one of his friends.

Then comes the embarrassment.

He immediately stops his dancing mid-twirl, letting out a loud “Ahhhhh!!!!” as he notices his company.

The young man approaches the camera, raising both hands to his face.

Although he has absolutely no reason to feel embarrassed, I get it.

He thought he was all alone in the studio, giving him the confidence he needed to beautifully belt “Chandelier.”

Although somewhat of a violation of his privacy and trust, I’m sure he’s not unhappy with the recorded results.

And now the whole world can admire his talents.

The kid’s got some serious stuff, that’s for sure. Maybe the whole performance will help him conquer his stage fright.

Stage fright and shyness can really mess with a person’s head. Otherwise phenomenal talents have crumbled in the face of publicity.

Self-confidence can be hard to come by. But you need to know that you’re the bee’s knees.

When presenting to the public, they say that imagining everyone naked or in their underwear helps. Perhaps, but it all comes down to self confidence.

Remember to always believe in yourself, you’re probably a lot better than you give yourself credit for. Plus, who cares what other people think anyway?

Forget the noise and love thyself. As for our esteemed vocalist… Sia would be beyond proud.
