Singing in the showerโs fun. But you generally donโt want your roommates hearing your questionable voiceโฆ
Alright, Iโm projecting.
People act differently when nobodyโs around. Itโs just a fact.
I mean, just today I walked around the kitchen with my pants off because nobody else was home.
The absence of others can be especially liberating to the shyest of souls.

Take this young man, for instance. Heโs all alone in what appears to be a dance studio or gym โ or so he thought.
No, not alone at all.
In fact, everything heโs doing at the moment is being recorded, for better or worse.
But fortunately in this case, itโs very much for the better.
You see, this kidโs got incredible talent. Heโs a truly gifted vocalist.
But heโs also really, really shy.

Australian pop star Siaโs hit song โChandelierโ can be heard in the background of the studio.
Though Siaโs not the only one singing. The boy pipes along to the international hit, layering his vocals atop hers.
And heโs simply sensational.
1 2 3, 1 2 3, drink
1 2 3, 1 2 3, drink
1 2 3, 1 2 3, drink
Throw โem back till I lose count

Perhaps the most iconic aspect of Siaโs song comes with the chorus, featuring bombastic, operatic vocals. The average singalong Joe and Jane surely canโt hit those highs.
Wellโฆ this guyโs up for the challenge.
And he absolutely annihilates it (in a good way).
Iโm gonna swing from the chandelier
From the chandelier
Iโm gonna live like tomorrow doesnโt exist
Like it doesnโt exist

He feels his way through the chorus, one operatic note at a time.
Itโs hard to forget that heโs just a regular dude in the gym.
But thereโs nothing regular about his voice.

He proceeds to finish off the soaring chorus, hitting every single pitch perfectly.
Iโm gonna fly like a bird through the night
Feel my tears as they dry
Iโm gonna swing from the chandelier
From the chandelier

For the unfamiliar, Siaโs a popular Australian singer and composer. Sheโs collaborated with a slew of iconic artists including Britney Spears, Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Eminem.
Hereโs the beautiful, original music video to her hit โChandelier.โ

Upon the completion of the chorus, the young man turns around, twirling as if ready to dance.
Within a split second, he notices the cameraperson, perhaps one of his friends.

Then comes the embarrassment.
He immediately stops his dancing mid-twirl, letting out a loud โAhhhhh!!!!โ as he notices his company.
The young man approaches the camera, raising both hands to his face.

Although he has absolutely no reason to feel embarrassed, I get it.
He thought he was all alone in the studio, giving him the confidence he needed to beautifully belt โChandelier.โ
Although somewhat of a violation of his privacy and trust, Iโm sure heโs not unhappy with the recorded results.
And now the whole world can admire his talents.

The kidโs got some serious stuff, thatโs for sure. Maybe the whole performance will help him conquer his stage fright.
Stage fright and shyness can really mess with a personโs head. Otherwise phenomenal talents have crumbled in the face of publicity.
Self-confidence can be hard to come by. But you need to know that youโre the beeโs knees.
When presenting to the public, they say that imagining everyone naked or in their underwear helps. Perhaps, but it all comes down to self confidence.
Remember to always believe in yourself, youโre probably a lot better than you give yourself credit for. Plus, who cares what other people think anyway?
Forget the noise and love thyself. As for our esteemed vocalistโฆ Sia would be beyond proud.
