With the little 9-year-old, Celine Tam came up on the stage of the auditions of America’s Got Talent, she already melted the hearts of the audience with her adorable cuteness.
When the judges of the popular talent show asked her what she was going to perform, she told a little bit about herself and her family and how musical legend Celine Dion has formed an inspiration to them.
Celine definitely isn’t coincidentally named as her parents are big fans of the Canadian singer, and she also tells Simon that her sister is actually named Dion. Her parents from Hong Kong, China, are obviously large admirers of the singer – but little Celine definitely is as well.
The 9-year-old performed a beautiful rendition of Celine Dion’s most famous hit ‘My Heart Will Go On’, with an incredible stage presence and exceptionally gifted voice.
She surprised and stunned everyone when with her phenomenal voice and even managed to deliver a big smirk and smile on Simon Cowell’s face.
As is usually the case with gifted child singers on America’s Got Talent, Celine has had the support of her parents since she was very little. Her father Steve Tam also gives her singing lessons and the family mentions that Celine had first performed for a live audience at the young age of four years old.
One year later, little Celine even became a little bit famous in her home country by performing in the Chinese television program Let’s Sing Kids. The now nine-ear-old girl had also previously performed in Britain’s Got Talent in 2015, which in turn had lead to her being given the nickname of ‘The Celine Dion of Hong Kong’.
With an appearance in this year’s season of Americas’s Got Talent, millions of viewers could hear this talented singer perform for the first time. After an adorable “hi” to the judges, mouths started to fall open in admiration and Celine could also count on a gigantic applause.
“This is my dream,” she proudly says.
After the performance, the audience gives her a well-deserved standing ovation, including from the judges Howie Mandell and Mel B. With over 14 million views on YouTube in less than ten days time, Celine Tam’s audition is already one of the most popular performances of this season of America’s Got Talent.

One thing’s for sure: we definitely haven’t heard the last of Celine Tam!
