The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon is such an entertaining show to watch.
One, we got to know famous celebrities and personalities a little bit more with their stories. And two, we get to watch them display their silly sides to the audience and viewers.
Jimmy Fallon entertains through one of the many segments in his show.
Some of his famous segments include “Lip Sync Battle”, where Jimmy Fallon faces off with his guests in a lip sync battle. The best battles that have happened on the show include Jimmy facing off with Emma Stone, Paul Rudd, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt with Stephen Merchant.
This segment was such a hit, it spawned off its own show on Paramount Network, hosted by LL Cool J and Chrissy Teigen.
Another funny segment is #Hashtags.
In this segment, Jimmy Fallon reads out the funniest tweets that use the featured hashtag of the day. Some of the best include #MyWorstDate, #MyWeirdRoommate, and #WeddingFail.
Another great segment that features the best singers is Wheel of Musical Impressions.
In this segment, a “wheel” chooses a particular singer and song and the guest has to sing the chosen song the way the chosen singer would sing it. Some of the best the show has had include Ariana Grande, Alessia Cara, Christina Aguilera, and Celine Dion.
Everyone’s in for a treat when Celine Dion plays the “Wheel of Musical Impressions” with Jimmy Fallon.
And she was really into it! Not only did she perform a musical impression of the singer’s vocals but their performing style as well.
Jimmy invited Celine to push the button first and she hesitated and said, “I’m so scared.”
She picked singer Cher and the song “Frère Jacques”. And she just launched into singing the song as Cher, which was so spot on! If you close your eyes while listening to it, you’ll actually think it was Cher performing!
Jimmy was next and he said, “I don’t know how I’m going to top any of that but here we go.”
And he pressed the button and got Michael Jackson and the song “One Dance”.
It’s Jimmy’s turn but Celine was having too much fun. She quickly launched into vocalizing like Michael Jackson while Jimmy worked to get himself into character.
And even when Jimmy finished, the two of them were still so into the performance that they couldn’t and wouldn’t stop! Jimmy had to remind Celine to press the button again.
And they launched again into a musical face-off ala Michael Jackson to press the button.
Jimmy and Celine performed two more rounds of musical impressions but could not let go of performing Michael Jackson in between rounds. During Celine’s last round, she got Sia and the song “Hush Little Baby.”
She instinctively stood up so she can perform like Sia. “I don’t know why I need to stand up to sing.”
She also asked Jimmy if he had something she could cover her face with like Sia. He gave her a small stuffed toy. Celine worked with it but she returned the toy to Jimmy.
Instead, she just flipped her hair over to cover her face ala Sia, which Jimmy loved.
