Every mom, grandma, and aunt knows the hassle of carrying a baby’s car seat.

While car seats do an incredible job of keeping little ones safe in our vehicles, they are a hassle in many ways. It is hard to get the straps just right. The seat never wants to click into place on the first try.

But the biggest hassle about a baby’s car seat is carrying it!

They are so awkwardly sized and no matter how you pick a baby’s car seat up, it will always hurt your back.

Or, so you thought! Apparently, there is a hack for carrying baby car seats that won’t strain your back.

This is a lifesaver for all moms, but it is even more helpful to moms with little ones that are expecting another baby.

Dr. Emily Puente from Bridge Family Chiro shared a video of herself with an adorable volunteer showing exactly how to pick up a baby’s car seat and hold it to eliminate back pain.

She shared the video on Facebook and YouTube but added this note after:

I wanted to share that due to so many different makes and models of car seats, it is likely that this method won’t work for all seats.

This was merely an attempt to pass along a creative idea that was shared and works incredibly well for the majority of those who attempt it.

I suggest being cleared by your medical professional prior to trying any new regimen if you would like to ensure you are fit to perform actions like the one shown here.

In the video, Emily bends down and almost gets on her knees, to show the position that you should have your arm in when looping it through the handle of the baby’s car seat. You can see in the video exactly how she moves her hand and then stands up!

Emily added this note to her video after it went viral:

We also wanted to share that while car seats are the ideal choice for safety while riding in a car they aren’t the top choice for a baby if you’re able to hold them or baby-wear instead. There are several resources online if you need suggestions or demonstrations on the proper way to baby-wear.

Another way to avoid back pain when loading your baby into the car is kneeling on the seat.

While you’re kneeling on the seat next to them to strap them in, instead of standing outside of the car, it takes the pressure off of your back when you’re getting them settled.

Please SHARE this baby carrier carrying hack with all of your mom friends and family on Facebook today.
