What would a wedding be with without a little drama? These days weddings have become less about celebrating love with friends and family and more about having the perfect looking life. Bridezillas will fuss about everything from dresses, to food, to guests, and especially the perfect aesthetic to match their Pinterest dreams. This bridezilla took it one step further and started nit-picking about what certain guests would be wearing to her special day.

This wedding guest recently posted on social media the conversation between her and the bride about what she was expected to wear to the wedding. The woman the bride was contacting chooses to express herself through tattoos and dyed hair, and even though she was friends with the couple about to wed, the bride made it clear that she needed to fit in with the aesthetic of her wedding. The first message from the bridezilla to the guest says “Hey so with my wedding, I wanted to ask if you could please make sure your tattoos are covered and could you maybe fix your hair up so it’s a natural color? We’ve put a lot of work into our theme and I’m sorry but your look clashes with it.” and thats not even the end of it.

The bride goes on to offer up some options for the guest, like hair sprays to fix the hair color and buying a dress with sleeves to cover up her arm tattoos. She also mentions shopping with another guest who was also asked to change their look to fit in better on the big day. The guest responded politely saying that a summer wedding and a dress with sleeves was not really an option and that she had worked to get her hair exactly where she wanted it to be but she would see what she could do to make it work. But apparently that wasn’t the answer this bridezilla was looking for.

The bride responded by telling her that “if you can’t suck it up I feel like you don’t really care about me,”. Weddings can be stressful and can make people say some crazy things for the sake of their vision but this was taking things too far. Once the conversation was posted online, the guest had a lot of support behind her, agreeing that this bride was out of control. People had a hay day in the Facebook comments. “She needs to be in a Mean Girls film”, “This is horrible and gross”, and “Please wear the most hideous jacket you can find” are just a few of the top comments that Facebook had to offer. Not to mention all the comments that made suggestions as to what the guest should do, like wearing wigs to make things worse or skipping the wedding all together and just giving the finger to the happy couple.

Normally these bride shaming groups have two sides to every story or at least people on both sides of the argument, but it’s clear that no one agrees with this bride and no one deserves to be treated the way she treated this potential guest. Let’s hope she sees the conversation goes viral and reevaluates whats most important.
