Everyone has a different vision for their wedding. If you’re married, you probably had a few specific things you wanted for the happiest day of your life. But we’re betting that checklist didn’t include a fairy tale castle, a celebrity dance routine, a full ballerina ensemble, and a dress worthy of Cinderella herself.
You’ve probably seen a few opulent weddings, but none come close to the Disney-themed wedding of Indonesian makeup YouTube star Rachel Vennya and Niko Al Hakim.
When they got married, the couple spared no expense to make their dreams — in true Disney fashion — come true.
Rachel and Niko had already documented much of their lives together, including their proposal, wedding planning, and pre-wedding events. So, it’s no surprise that when their wedding day arrived, every detail went on YouTube as well.
And everyone was in awe watching it.
It seemed as if no detail was left out. They pulled it all together in beautiful princess like fashion.
The wedding took place in a castle venue, with flowers overflowing in every corner.
Not only was there a fabulous dance routine featuring backup dancers, but there was also a full procession with the bride and groom dressed in Disney regalia — the bride in a Snow White-inspired colorful gown and cape. It was only later when they came out for their first dance that Rachel revealed the most fantastic part of her voluminous dress.
But then she came out in what appeared at first to be a more simple dress – but held a wonderful surprise.
Her white dress might have been poofy, but after all the sparkles and colors everywhere, it looked fairly simple in comparison.
But don’t think for a second that was all there was to it. As Rachel walked out on the floor with her new husband, the lights went out, revealing her gown was studded with quite a surprise.
By the way, in case you were thinking that was the end of the fairy tale opulence, don’t fool yourself: the newlyweds ended the night with a castle-shaped cake and a carriage ride leading away from the party.
Shortly after Rachel and Niko shared their wedding video, it went viral, sparking more than six million views.
Even wedding experts around the world were sharing it on their social media accounts.
“Just when you thought you’ve seen it all,” read a post from Instagram account Lebanese Weddings. “A real life #Cinderella bride wearing a lit wedding gown…”
And Rachel herself took to her own Instagram account to share her thanks to her wedding guests and, of course, the vendors who made her fairytale day possible.
“First, I personally want to say thank you as much as possible to friends who have taken the time to come to our wedding reception last night,” she wrote. “It’s really nice to be able to meet your friends…thanks also to all vendors involved in this event, very good job guys! Best day of my life!”
