Ryan Pflederer waited by the altar at church for his soon-to-be-wife, Arianna, to join him so they can get married. What he didn’t know was that Arianna had a surprise for him even before the ceremony began.
Arianna wanted to surprise Ryan on their wedding day.
Earlier that day, Ryan and Arianna had a First Look ceremony where they saw each other, just the two of them in their wedding suit and gown, before the festivities. And because they had already seen each other already that day, Arianna wanted to do something special to celebrate Ryan on their wedding day. Because for most weddings, it does become all about the bride. Arianna wanted to surprise him and make their wedding about the two of them.
Arianna changed up the traditional Bridal March.
Normally, when the bride walks down the aisle, she walks to the Bridal March. For Arianna, she wanted to do something different and start a family tradition at the same time. She walked down the aisle to a musician playing the piano to Carrie Underwood’s song, “Look At Me,” while Arianna sang the song. What a surprise!
There was no dry eye at church that day.
A big smile formed on Ryan’s face and tears began to run down his cheek. In fact, all the guests present had grins on their faces with wet cheeks.
Arianna made her way down the aisle
Around a minute and a half into the song, Arianna started to walk down the aisle towards Ryan, while she continued to sing. She reached the front and continued to sing the song until the end.
When she finished, the pastor joined them to start the ceremony and said, “That, my friend, Ryan, is what you call making an entrance.”
It earned a laugh from Ryan and from everyone else and the pastor continued, “And it was all for you.”
Arianna wanted to continue what her mom started.
Her mom also sang while she walked down the aisle at her second wedding and Arianna wanted to make it a family tradition by repeating the same act. It was actually almost a last minute decision because Arianna only started practicing a few days before their wedding. Listening to her performance, it didn’t feel like a last minute addition to the wedding festivities!
The viewers loved it, too!
ThisgirllovestheUSA on YouTube said, “This is my seventh time I’ve watched this and every time I ball my eyes out! So Sweet, so pure.”
Beingmommywithstyle said, “This was great! Kudos to you for being able to sing on your own wedding day, I was so nervous I would have just fallen over.”
And Trista Robinson said, “Chills!! Every single time I watch this. Simply beautiful!”
There were still some naysayers, of course, but, in true Christian spirit, Ryan and Arianna encouraged their fans to stop feeding the negativity and just spread love.
“Hurt people hurt people,” Ryan reminds their fans. “And we’re not going to take that personally.”
Their touching video has went viral.
The moment was not only treasured by the bride, groom, and all who attended, but also by millions of viewers around the world. The sweet moment captured on film has over 16 million views and pierces to the heart showing the power of true love.
What a special moment Arianna created with a memory that will be treasured for a lifetime. Watch the video and be prepared to tear up when Arianna serenades Ryan.
