The two lovebirds Trent and Annalisa Brookshier decided to do something special after their first wedding dance. It’s a tradition that the first dance between the newlyweds is rather slow, intimate and emotional, but these two wanted to make sure their second dance together would be just as memorable.
“After our first formal slow dance, we had to sneak away to change into our party outfits and get the dancing started with one more surprise,” Trent wrote on his personal website. “We came out to surprise our guests with this little surprise reception wedding dance to Blake Shelton’s Footloose,” he added on YouTube.
Their second wedding dance is absolutely incredible, to say the least. Inspired by the Blake Shelton remake of Footloose, the wedding guests had no idea that Trent and Annalisa would be performing this fantastic choreography for them.
At first, the groom comes up on the dance floor and the music we all know from the 1984 hit movie starts to hit. Trent energetically starts dancing and manages to captivate the audience with a very impressive backflip. As if the excitement levels didn’t go through the roof already, his beautiful bride then joined the dance as well.
It was time for some pair dancing and the two gave an unforgettable performance together – we’re pretty sure this is one the best “second dances” you’ll ever see.
Annalisa even decided to wear a set of cowgirl boots for their Footloose performance. As every new move passes, you can hear the cheering from the audience growing louder and louder.
Nearing the end of their dance, the two newlyweds then invited all of the guests on the dancefloor to bust out some moves along with them.
The groom decided to go with Blake Shelton’s adaptation of Footloose, as he felt that the country music superstar added a unique twist to the song that would be just perfect for their second wedding dance.
Trent and Annalisa are high school sweethearts and have been a couple since 2004. Trent popped the question on a hot air balloon in Las Vegas and they got married on June 30, 2012.
“I still don’t know how I got so lucky? This is the most amazing woman in the whole world and I couldn’t be more blessed to call her my wife,” Trent says.
What an adorable couple and a fantastic wedding dance!
