What would you do if you encountered an alligator on a busy street?
Well, this happened to people passing through a street in Tampa, Florida.
A roaming alligator greets them, leaving them running to safety.
People from the neighborhood called the cops to handle the situation.
While gators walking the earth is not really wrong, doing this on a road full of folks is unsafe.
So, the cops arrived to get everything under control.
It was a normal day, except for the massive gator who decided to stroll on a Florida street.
People were scared of the huge animal and quickly called on the police department to make the road safe again.
The cops reached the scene with one thing in mind: keep the gator away from homes and off the road.
We expect zoo professionals to handle this type of situation, but the cops at the Tampa Police Department have the perfect guys for the job.
The officers step right in to capture the gator.
It was not an easy wrangle, and the cop was careful not to make the gator mad.
The alligator was not having any of the cop’s schemes and was hissing at them forcefully.
The reptile’s tail kept on lashing at the police who were trying to approach it.
One of the cops bravely enters the scene with a baton in his hand.
He was trying to make the alligator move toward the road, where the cops had set a trap.
The baton moves were not working at all, and the reptile just kept on hissing at them.
The next thing they did was approach it while holding a rope.
One officer went in to wrangle the gator’s snout with it and then wrapped it with cloth and tape to prevent it from hurting people.
The men carefully loop the rope on the gator’s mouth to keep it from attacking.
And then, one of the cops bravely pins the gator down as he puts his body weight on the reptile.
He asks for a towel and covers the alligator’s mouth with it.
Next comes the duct tape to secure the towel in place.
The cops successfully kept the gator’s mouth from attacking but also felt that the animal was preparing to attack using its back area.
They calmly secure the hind legs as well. All the while, the gator was fighting strongly.
At the end of the very long morning, the police officers were able to secure the “growling gator.”
The moment was all captured on camera and was shared on the police department’s YouTube page.
They aptly entitled it “See You Later, Alligator……”
