Brad Pitt is a worldwide household name, everyone knows who he is.
From his many acting credits to his relationships with various Hollywood starlets and his charity work, he is one of the most famous men in the world.
Not only is he both extremely talented and handsome, but he is also exceptionally kind as well.
In an interview with Brad’s neighbor, actress Cassandra Peterson (aka Elvira), she told of how he bought the home off of her in 1994 for around 1.7 million dollars.
Cassandra bought another house right next door and the two sparked up a long-lasting friendship.
After Brad bought the house, he began to renovate and expand his property, any time a house beside his came up for sale, he would buy it.
One of those homes was owned by an elderly man named John.
John had lived there with his wife until she passed away and realized he would soon need to sell the property, even though he didn’t want to.
That was when Brad made the 90-something-year-old man a deal; if Brad could buy it now, the man could live there rent-free until he passed away.
The man jumped at the offer and was soon a tenant of the home he loved so much.
When making the deal, Cassandra believes that Brad thought the man wouldn’t live very much longer, he was in his mid 90’s after all.
However, John lived a lot longer than anyone thought he would, he ended up passing away at the age of 105.
Cassandra remembers Brad’s kindness and how he would always look out for the older man, even going so far as to drive him to and from the grocery store on certain occasions.
John was an integral part of the community and it must have hit everyone in the neighborhood hard when he passed.
Brad’s 6 children with his ex-wife Angelina Jolie, had come to know and love John and they were devastated when they heard the news.
Not long after John’s passing, Brad ended up selling the huge estate he had built up and received an estimated 40 million dollars in the deal.
That was only one of the actor’s houses, he also has another home in the Hollywood Hills, one in France, and he and Jolie purchased an island off the coast of Dubai.
Cassandra says that she will miss living next to her friend.
She recalls how one day, as she was walking her dogs, she passed by Pitt preparing for the movie “Fight Club” in his garage.
“I go past Brad’s garage and he’s in there wearing only sweatpants,” the actress says, “he’s got on boxing gloves and is punching a bag. I swear I almost fainted… He’s just so stunningly, stunningly handsome – and nice to top it off.”
Hopefully, as Brad’s name goes down in history as one of the most famous actors of our time, his reputation for being kind and generous will continue to follow him as well.
