A lot of guys put a ton of time and effort into thinking of the right way to propose to their significant other.
And while some may not get it right, there are men out there who hit a home run.
Steve Lee is one of those men. When he met the woman he knew he wanted to marry, he knew that he had to find the perfect way to ask. After all, Theresa Morgan Johnson had played a meaningful role in not only his life but his boys’ lives, as well. It meant so much to the father of three that Theresa could be such a helpful and loving presence in their lives.
So, when it came time to propose, Steve knew that he wanted to incorporate his boys into the process somehow.
It all starts when Theresa gets home.
She is greeted by the three young sons who are all eagerly awaiting her arrival. They tell her to sit down on the couch. She looks concerned and like she has no clue what is going on. But since the boys are so excited, she obliges.
Then, they tell her that they have a present for her.
Again, she looks worried and asks them if they are playing a trick on her. It certainly doesn’t help that they keep giggling the whole time, looking like they are about to burst from excitement. The boys give Theresa a bright pink gift bag with the word “Mom” on the front.
She slowly begins to open the gift, asking if she is going to find a bug in the package. But they just keep encouraging her to continue. Then, as she finishes opening it, she finds a ring inside, and the three boys all drop down on one knee and say:
“We give you our Daddy.”
Right at that moment, Steve walks into the room with a huge smile on his face.
He gets down on one knee and delivers a heartfelt speech that leaves everyone in tears. He says:
“We love you with everything we have. And we want to know if you will marry me.”
Theresa, crying, says, “Yes,” and kisses Steve.
Then, the all three boys come over and the big family shares a group hug.
The three sons are crying just like Theresa. It’s so obvious the amount of love this family has for each other as they all embrace at the end of the proposal.
After they hug, Steve walks over to where the camera is sitting. He picks it up and shows it to Theresa to let her know that he filmed the whole thing. That’s a good thing, because they are sure to want to remember this moment for the rest of their lives. The boys are so happy to have a new mom, and Theresa and Steve couldn’t be more thrilled that they’ll soon be getting married. It’s truly a beautiful story.
Hopefully, these two find happiness for years to come.
As these boys grow up, they’ll have a beautiful family to share all their successes and hardships with. You’ve got to give it to Steve for finding such a wonderful woman to share with his family. When it seems like everything in the world is going wrong, it’s important to pay special attention to beautiful moments like these.
So this is how the Boys and I asked her to Marry us last night!❤
