For Brenden and Jacqui Brown, a trip to Las Vegas was all they wanted for their anniversary.

But like so many other plans made during the COVID-19 outbreak, they fell through.

That’s when their kids, 11-year-old Jayden and 9-year-old Jentzen, came up with a plan to save the day.

The two boys dressed up as a waiter and cook and got up early in order to make their kitchen look like a restaurant.

They even made up menus to order from and left anniversary cards on the table.

The boys seated their parents and took their orders.

Brenden ordered the Frosted Flakes and had it brought to him by “the waiter.”

He took a bite and exclaimed, “That’s delicious, guys. Very sweet, milky, crunchy, It could be the best Frosted flakes I’ve ever had in my life.”

And not only was the couple treated to a nice sit-down meal, but they were also entertained by some live music, performed by “the cook” himself!

The mother posted the story on her Instagram and it quickly went viral.

She wrote, “The most beautiful surprise from our two boys. My heart bursts. We will never forget our 15th. They have made it so special.”

Needless to say, Brenden and Jacqui’s anniversary was saved by their two boys.

And it may have even been better than a trip to Las Vegas.

Because spending time together as a family is a surefire way to improve your familial bonds.

According to the American College of Pediatrics, “Time together doing something relaxing or enjoyable can help you draw closer together. Just like couples benefit from sharing fun activities, families need fun too! In fact, research supports the fact that spending leisurely time together as a family improves family bonding and satisfaction.

So not only did they get to strengthen their relationship as a couple during this at-home anniversary, but they also got to strengthen their relationship as a family.

That’s a pretty sweet deal.

This was Brenden and Jacqui’s 15th anniversary and it’s no surprise that they are still together.

Because even when their exciting anniversary plans were canceled, they still had smiles on their faces during their cereal-meal.

According to the Daily Positive, “Accepting and embracing change allows you to adapt better to change and become more flexible. Change can be a lot harder on someone when they resist and reject it. Accepting change makes dealing with change a lot easier.”

This is proof that the two of them have learned how to cope with life’s unexpected curveballs and still find satisfaction in simply being with one another.
