Every video that we see online has its own story.
There are touching, shocking, infuriating ones. One thing is the same about them, though. They get different reactions from the viewers.
This particular video is about a kid, who had a memorable experience in Disneyland.
Who wouldn’t love to go to Disneyland, right? For many kids, it’s a dream come true. Especially, when they go there with their mom and dad. For them, it’s an unforgettable bonding. Unfortunately, some kids don’t have their moms or dads with them.
This holds true for those who have a mom or dad in the service of the nation. Kids like this little boy spend a few weeks to months and even a year away from a parent only seeing them through video calls and the odd visits.
A visit is always precious for the parent and for their kids.
Especially when it’s a surprise! It’s already a given with men and women in uniform. Once they have made plans to come home, someone is getting surprised. Wondrous occasions are always special!
The kid was just posing for a photo and enjoying his magical background.
Or so it seemed. That classic Disney castle makes for a beautiful background so why not snap one? As he stands under the beautiful sunlight, a man can be seen making his way through the crowd. That Navy look is unmistakable.
It’s been five months since this boy last saw his dad. Imagine what that does to a father and son. Someday, this kid will understand why dad had to be away for a few months.
Dad removes his hat and squats down behind his son.
He turned around and immediately faced one of the most important people in his life.
“Daddy!”
And without hesitation, he jumps into his father’s arms for an embrace that melted everyone’s hearts in the area. Strangers included. A crowd has gathered around, applauding the touching reunion between a man and his boy.
The boy can’t help himself telling his dad how much he’s missed him. His dad hugs him again and as he does, his son gives him a kiss getting a collective awww from the crowd. How sweet is this?
He was home!
The US Navy is a branch of the armed forces focusing on naval and amphibious warfare. Anything and everything to do with the water, including surveillance, defense, intelligence, and missions fall under the Navy’s responsibilities. They are awesome.
Dad here is on one of those badass looking ships. He’s part of the reason people back home get to eat and sleep peacefully day in and day out. His is a sacrifice a lot of men and women make to keep their country free from foreign threats. All at the expense of their own family time.
It’s time to bond!
“Now we’re all going to stay and have lots of fun.”
He says,
“Now we can wrestle so much!”
His son replies.
It was such a touching moment for the kid and his dad. For sure, even when he grows old, he would still remember this special day where he got to reunite with his dad and bond with him in a special place.
