Bowling isn’t for everyone.
It takes a lot of practice and concentration, much like any sport. You have to start somewhere though, and the best way to learn how to bowl is to just give it a try. One woman recently bowled for the first time with her family and may never be allowed back in the bowling alley.
The woman, who is called Aunt Dorinha by the person taking the video, had never been to a bowling alley.
It took a lot of convincing from her family before she finally agreed to give it a try. Still, she was nervous that she wouldn’t be very good. She expected to throw a lot of gutters and get a lot of laughs. She wasn’t expecting what actually happened.
Once she got the hang of it and seemed to understand the game, she decided she would show off a little bit. She wanted to impress her family members and let them know she was a quick learner who could do basically anything.
Dorinha decided to bowl barefoot.
That may have been her first mistake. Then again, anyone who has ever had to rent shoes from the bowling alley knows how stinky they can be. She may have spared herself a foot fungus, but she lost a lot more.
She carefully chooses her ball. She wanted to make sure she had what she needed to get a strike. She seems to be pretty confident, but she doesn’t have the best bowling form. Nobody expected her to get a strike, but they assumed she would at least get it in the right lane.
As she launches the ball, it not only flies through the air, it hits the display screen and busts out the glass.
Everyone in the bowling alley can see and hear it, and Dorinha is clearly embarrassed by her actions. She didn’t exactly impress her family the way she had hoped. In fact, it seems like she may have embarrassed them instead.
They are all laughing in the background, and the videos shuts off after the horrible incident.
It leaves us all wondering what happened to Dorinha and her family. Did the bowling alley manager ask them to leave? Did she have to pay for the damages? Will she ever bowl again?
How could something like this happen? It was clearly an accident, but those monitors have probably been hanging in that exact same spot at the bowling alley for years and nobody else had ever hit them with a bowling ball. How did Dorinha manage to do it?
It appears she may have chosen a ball that was too light for her.
How else would she be able to throw it up in the air like that? She’s not very big, and she doesn’t have super-human strength. Her awful form may have also had something to do with it. Maybe it’s because she isn’t wearing any shoes? It just doesn’t seem possible for someone to mess up this bad. Good thing her family was videotaping her, or nobody would ever believe it.
At least she gives hope to people who have never bowled before but who want to give it a try.
After all, you can’t do any worse than her, right? Hopefully, nobody takes that as a challenge. I think it’s safe to say that Dorinha won’t be bowling with her family again anytime soon. Maybe they can all pitch in and get her some lessons so something like this never happens again.
