Bullying is a big problem for a lot of kids.

It’s so common that many schools have rules in effect that if broken, can lead to suspension. Schools can only do so much, and thanks to the internet, kids can bully other kids from anywhere.

One boy named Zane Omlid was being bullied to the point that he didn’t even want to go to school.

His classmates were constantly calling him names and teasing him, and sometimes, they were even physically abusive. His parents claim that he was pushed, punched, and even written on with markers.

The school wasn’t doing much to put a stop to it, but Zane wasn’t going to have to suffer much longer. A group of bikers stepped in to make sure the bullies knew that they had Zane’s back. The bikers surprised Zane by stopping by his home.

Syd’s Angels Bikers Against Bullies was created in 2016 after a girl named Sydney told them how she was being bullied.

Some girls that she thought were her friends had lured her into the woods, where they attacked her and then posted it all over social media.

The biker group wanted to do something to make sure other kids weren’t treated like Sydney. They formed an anti-bullying group and started getting a lot of followers on social media. They wanted to show people that are bullied, that it’s not OK, and that they don’t have to face their tormentors alone.

The bikers pulled up to Zane’s house and asked for him to come outside to meet them.

His mother was thrilled that they took the time to come help out her young son. Zane was happy, too. With the bikers there, maybe his bullies would be a little intimidated.

The group was going to make sure that they got the message out that whoever was tormenting Zane was finished. They hoped that their presence would be enough to make the bullies realize that their mean ways were not going unnoticed but were attracting the kind of attention they probably didn’t want.

After all, who want a group of bikers on their bad side?

Zane was so excited to see the bikers that he hugged many of them. They were just as happy to see Zane and his family and to know that they could make a difference in his life. According to PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center:

“More than one out of every five (20.8%) students report being bullied. Rates of bullying vary across studies (from 9% to 98%). A meta-analysis of 80 studies analyzing bullying involvement rates (for both bullying others and being bullied) for 12-18-year-old students reported a mean prevalence rate of 35% for traditional bullying involvement and 15% for cyberbullying involvement.”

It seems like there is always a new story about bullying online or on the news. Kids are beating up other kids in bathrooms, on the playground, and on their way home from school. They are sending them horrible threats and messages online and spreading rumors about them.

It has led to many kids killing themselves, and some people even suggest that it is the reason for so much violence and so many school shootings.

These bikers may be able to help this boy and others deal with their bullies. No kid should have to be scared to go to school because other kids are bullying them.

Hopefully, this helped boost Zane’s self-esteem and maybe even helped him stand up to his bullies. It also may have scared the bullies enough to leave him alone. These bikers sure are doing a great thing by helping out these kids.
