She made this as a Christmas gift for her mom. To first create this quilt, the colors had to be printed on the fabric and then stitched according to the design. Look at the stitching, so intricate!
Her mom didnโt have a social media presence so they couldnโt post her works online for people to see. She does however have a social media presence and posted this quilt her mom made for her so others can see her magnificent works!
When he told his mom he was going to propose to his then-girlfriend, his mom started making this quilt. She gave it to the couple as a wedding present. Wow!
Sometimes, you want to take your creations out in public, especially since youโre so proud of what you made! This lady added her quilted design to her jacket so she can take it out whenever she wanted to.
She stitched 100 blocks in 100 days to make this stained glass quilt! She used scraps of fabric to make this quilt. It was so a lot of blocks though that she ran out of scraps and had to buy more fabric. When she ran out of those, she found white fabric scraps to fill out the rest.
Thereโs nothing special about the design but the reason it was made is more important. Her first-grade student was abused at home and was moving away to foster care. She quickly made this quilt to give to her student to remember and have good memories from her past.

Each color represented the color of the sky every 15 minutes from midnight until noon. How cool is that? Plus the quilter based this on the actual astronomical, nautical, and civil dawn and sunrise in Madison, WI on June 18, 1981, when she and her husband started their romantic relationship.
