‘Fighting Finn’ survived against all the odds when he was born a 1 pound pre-me. The little fighter left the hospital healthy, and in boxing gloves!
Having a baby should be the happiest time in your life, for this couple in Orlando, Florida, it was filled with terrifying worry. After their baby, Finn was born at only 1 pound. The outlook was grim, doctors only gave the baby a 40-50% chance of survival.
Jessica and Chris Hill, were beside themselves when their precious son needed a miracle just to survive. Little did they know, their prayers would be answered and a miracle on the way.
The little miracle baby wasn’t going out without a fight! With his parents by his side, he slowly progressed.
The Hill’s were praying for a miracle, they had no idea is their newborn son would live or die and the doctors had pretty much given him a 50/50 chance on pulling through.
Little Finn, was at the NICU in Nemours Children Hospital, in Orlando, Florida. Day after day, his parents prayed for a miracle while they stood by their baby’s side. All they could do was hope, as he fought his uphill battle.
Born at just 1 pound, the odds were stacked against little Finn, he fought for his life and slowly improved.
Baby Finn stood in the NICU in Nemarous Children’s Hospital, and eventually, the little miracle was healthy enough to go home! After a grueling 113 days in the hospital, it was time for the couple to finally take their baby to his house. Doctors had nursed him all the way back to health, and it was a miracle!
Finn was home, at last, he still has his oxygen tube in, but they hope to get that out soon as well. They never gave up on their precious baby boy, the little fighter left the hospital in mini boxing gloves to signify winning the fight of his life
“We had quite a few things stacked against us when he was born, but he made it, but he made it, he’s a fighter.” Jessica told Inside Edition. When asked about Finn’s condition she said: “He had a good report. We are hoping in about a month to do a sleep study so he can come off of oxygen, which would be fantastic.”
With the hospital behind them, the family is happy and just wants to be with each other. Situations like these can really put what is important into perspective, and we’re just happy to here Finn made it! Fighting Finn is an adorable bundle of strength, who will surely be told this story when he’s older. Watch the video below!
