Lyla even speaks come classic baby gibberish, it’s almost as if she’s trying to sing along with her mother. According to naeyc.org, singing to your baby helps them learn in many ways:

  • Bonding – Singing to your baby helps them bond with your voice.
  • Transition – Babies benefit from predictability, so singing regularly helps them feel secure.
  • New Words – Singing to your baby helps them begin to comprehend words.
  • Family Bonding – You can also have your other children sing to your newborn, it will help them bond as well.
  • Listening Skills – Because singing requires listening to words, it’s another great way for them to begin understanding language and feelings associated with words.
  • Love – Above all else, singing expresses love to your baby through song. It makes no difference to your infant whether you have a great voice or not, the fact that you’re singing to them is enough.

4-month-old Lyla is entranced by her mother’s voice, she giggles as her mom serenades her

As Kristina sings to her baby, Lyla, the bond they have is written all over the baby’s face. The way she laughs and smiles is incredibly heartwarming, she’s completely focused on her mother. The entire time Kristina is singing she has Lyla’s full attention, which is amazing in itself. It’s hard enough to keep an infant’s attention for 10 seconds, but the mother’s singing easily keeps her intrigued for almost a minute and a half.
